News WDW Resorts to add fees for parking

Good Lord.. I don't know which is stronger: the sarcasm or the erudition. The fact remains, after 33 pages of opinions, discussions, points of view, vents and rants, Disney is going to do exactly what it wants to do, people are going to believe and do exactly what they wish to believe and do...

    Grand floridian walk way

Universal has walking paths,in addition to boat service to all of their current resorts. The path to Portofino Bay and the Hard Rock Resorts is a horticulture delight and always has someone using it. There is no reason Disney could not finish the path to the Grand Floridian if they wanted...

    News Crossroads Plaza Faces Demoliton

It's called progress---or--- six of one or half a dozen of another. On one hand, the traffic jams in the area can be horrendous and something really needs to be done to alleviate the problem. On the other hand, for guests staying in the hotel plaza, the Crossroads gives them the option of...

Would YOU sign up for a 7-hour Star Wars tour of Hollywood Studios?

Have been a fan of Star Wars since the original movie, but with the state of the Star Wars presence in the Studios at this time, NO WAY.

A Terror-rific Spirited 13th (ToT fans have lots to fear)...

I sure wish, at our age, we were starting over again in our forties or fifties (or even sixties) so we would live long enough to see which, or, if any, of the "what if", "maybe " or " possibly" additions or attractions actually come to fruition. At the rate Disney seems to be planning and...

How much would you pay to stay in Cinderella's castle suite?

I wonder how much they would charge for a "look see",:stay behind the ropes", "don't touch" and "exit to your right" tour. There are many who would pay whatever the cost in order to see the castle suite. My bad. Shouldn't give them ideas for another up charge.

A Terror-rific Spirited 13th (ToT fans have lots to fear)...

You do remember that I said ALMOST every other company. I, perhaps should have said I don't despise (the word you used) the companies, rather than I don't fault them. They can be faulted, but despise implies too strong an emotion. Disliking their practices is probably the best description...

A Terror-rific Spirited 13th (ToT fans have lots to fear)...

To give a serious answer to a not so serious post. My long term memory is just fine, thank you. Sure, Disney is doing the same thing almost every other company is doing. Cough drops are smaller, Hershey Kisses are smaller, a box of Hamburger Helper is smaller (you can tell I;m not a gourmet...

A Terror-rific Spirited 13th (ToT fans have lots to fear)...

Let us not forget that in addition to all the up charge options there is also a constant chipping away of the value of what you are receiving for the money you do spend---even for the options.

Unmagical Day at the Magic Kingdom

Personally, I think it is hilarious the way this thread refuses to die. I find it entertaining to read these new posts rather than the usual doom and gloom Disney posts..

Is this really a thing or is it April 1ST? Cabanas in the parks.

Certainly, if you have the money, the constant stream of up charges won't affect you in the least. You want to park closer, stay in the park longer, have a prime reserved viewing spot for a parade or fireworks, rest in the shade of a cabana, you spend the necessary amount. Wealth has always had...

Is this really a thing or is it April 1ST? Cabanas in the parks.

Not to give them ideas, but for another $200.00 or so, they could offer is access to private rest rooms which are off limits to the rest of us common riffraff without deep pockets. Think executive wash room; a perk for the upper echelon. Thicker toilet paper, perhaps?

Is this really a thing or is it April 1ST? Cabanas in the parks.

Tongue in cheek, but they do not pay enough to the people who keep thinking up all the ways to extract more money from a well heeled, or those who want to keep up a deep pocket appearance, Walt Disney World guest. And yes, it does take away from the average visitor because it means even more...

A Terror-rific Spirited 13th (ToT fans have lots to fear)...

The point in my previous post was that forty years ago my family never cared a feather or a fig why or how a ride or attraction was rated (except for the cost difference), and we don't care now. They can be rated by crowd control, length, perceived quality, thrill factor, upgraded technology...

A Terror-rific Spirited 13th (ToT fans have lots to fear)...

There were no computers, tablets, cell phones, I pads, digital anything or even televisions until I was a teenager or later, so I have seen a lot of changes and speak from experience. Peoples' tastes and technology change over the years. What most people liked and what was cutting edge...

Walt Disney World's new marketing campaign - 'The Magic is Endless'

Just catching up on the war between the "pixie dusters" and the "Disney haters" when I read your post. That was a rather snide comment on your part. My concerns, other than about Disney, are none of your business. However, my biggest concern, at the moment, is packing for a three week trip...

Walt Disney World's new marketing campaign - 'The Magic is Endless'

I wouldn't count on it anytime soon. At our age (my husband and myself), there may not be another one in our lifetime..

Walt Disney World's new marketing campaign - 'The Magic is Endless'

The magic was End-ing when they stopped having a night time parade in the Magic Kingdom. That was one of the most magical aspects of the park.
