Avengers Campus: Food, Entertainment, M&G, Environment Updates

Ok, well now that I’ve seen all these posts, it looks like I’m going to be risking divorce to cram in an August DCA trip. 🤣

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

I would be happy to get either of those options. I believe 2 years ago at DLP it was about €150 to go on every ride once. Can’t remember if that was park specific or park hopper. I think Disney should be charging at least that much— will make for short waits for people willing to pay 2x...

Avengers Campus: Food, Entertainment, M&G, Environment Updates

Anybody know how long Wolverine and Deadpool will remain at DCA for? We are APs but we have a week at WDW and a week with DCL next month and I’m worried my husband will murder me if I try to fit in a Disneyland trip before OBB in Sept.

    Poll: Aquaduck or Aquamouse?

AquaDuck is our favorite, not sure if was a malfunction but 50% of the times we’ve been on AquaMouse the water squirted me directly in the face (also the line for AquaMouse has been consistently longer with fewer slow periods the two times we sailed the Wish)— my kids do enjoy the cartoons...

Avengers Campus: E-Watch! (Waiting on the new ride)

They do build them like McDonalds. Not sure how many you’ve been to, but McDonalds in Japan, China, India, Egypt, etc. are all customized for local tastes and preferences. Just like the castle parks.

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

It’s especially annoying if you’re the crash test dummy visitors they are foisting the changes on (with fairly short notice)— thankfully we are not until August, but even still not a lot of time to get our arms around the new system — wishing pixie dust and limited IT catastrophes for everyone...

    Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree

I am not your lawyer and this is not legal advice (and I only know enough copyright law to be dangerous) but there are different elements of copyright rights with music (the lyrics/music itself, the right to perform, a specific recording, etc.) and Swift being the original artist who wrote the...

    SPOILER: The Acolyte -- Disney+ Star Wars -- begins June 5, 2024

I think the ending would have made more sense if they made the child twins so Osha was obsessed with Mae and joining the witch coven and Mae was the one who wanted to be a Jedi. Then, everything proceeds the same except Mae starts murdering Jedi after watching Sol kill her mom, and Osha is...

MK Big Thunder Mountain to receive full retrack

I don’t think it needs it either. I like all the Disney parks coasters that do have music, so I think it’d probably be an enhancement (despite the fact that I prefer the prior SM soundtrack, the current one at DL is also good and adds to the ride)—but considering opportunity costs, I would...

Rumor Lion King Flume Ride being considered for Animal Kingdom

A few years ago, I once (temporarily) became an insider by flying from LAX to MCO (Delta, C+) next to an imagineer who was literally putting together the Disneyland Forward presentation materials. Unfortunately she was working on like a 14” laptop and I had to play it cool so I didn’t get that...

Rumor Moana E-Ticket Ride to Adventureland

Yikes, hadn’t considered that. The best possible defense of the current Aladdin spinner ride is: do you want to leave it where it is or do you want to [allocate budget to] move it to the courtyard in the Morocco pavilion?

MK Big Thunder Mountain to receive full retrack

You are joking but I could imagine them bringing the medley from that attraction in Shanghai and it wouldn’t be pretty. It sounds fun to me— am I crazy or is/was there old west type music played at the end of the ride where you pass by the old western down? The ONLY song? What about a song (or...

    SPOILER: The Acolyte -- Disney+ Star Wars -- begins June 5, 2024

Yeah, I forgot about that aspect. She murdered Sol only to follow the guy who killed a lot of her friends and was planning to murder her sister for “betraying” him. IIRC, right up until that moment she was all about bringing Mae in to face justice as opposed to murdering her, and I think that’s...

    SPOILER: The Acolyte -- Disney+ Star Wars -- begins June 5, 2024

I hear you but the pivot was extremely sudden—we were told about the anger and grief in the final minutes of the show, instead of being shown it gradually over time. I also think she heard the least flattering possible version of the facts. As a litigator, it was painful to watch. I wanted to...

    SPOILER: The Acolyte -- Disney+ Star Wars -- begins June 5, 2024

That is actually my quibble here. They gave us a solid background of Osha being good (dispassionate and self-sacrificing) many times and then she suddenly snaps and turns evil. I thought we were slowly seeing the set up for Sol turning evil due to his fear and attachment. In any event, it...

MK Big Thunder Mountain to receive full retrack

Works for me as long as the coasters all have fun soundtracks. 😍 I would like to see Soarin’ visiting new (real) places, but I’m willing to trade that for coasters with kickin’ soundtracks. Is it too much to ask for Dick Dale’s version of Space Mountain back at least seasonally?

    Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree

I don’t think it’s accidental that it’s very similar to the name of the production in MK. In fact, I’ve had the new opening act chorus (except “Country Bears BBQ Jamboree”) stuck in my head while reading this thread. I agree it is a weird name on the merits, but if it brings some Country Bear...

MK Big Thunder Mountain to receive full retrack

And more importantly, are we sure it’s not going to be “You’ve Got a Friend in Me”?

    SPOILER: The Acolyte -- Disney+ Star Wars -- begins June 5, 2024

“How can they let The Mandolorian continue?!?!?” ::tears garments:: Look, I would have made most of the Disney+ series differently too—but I like most of them at least as much as TLJ. I don’t think people should assume that handing it off to anybody else is necessarily going to be better...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Is that true? I know at one point you couldn’t book G+ for anything other than your first park until return times stretched past 2pm, but then I switched to an evening stacking strategy and haven’t paid attention. I hope you are right— we want to do the GOTG VQ in the AM but I don’t see much...
