Love rain at WDW. Am I nuts?

Being from Southern California we seldom get any "real" weather so when we would run in to thunder storms during our August trips we just thought of it as another attraction.

    Segway Tour at Epcot

I would highly recommend this tour - we have done it several times. One of the best parts is that you become an attraction within EPCOT when you go "on tour" to World Showcase. Everybody stops and watches as you go by, and you get to wave at them as if you were on parade. We've done a lot of...

Why isn't the talking skull at POTC anymore?

I thought they should have added Tia Dalma to the Bayou at the start of the DL ride, probably too expensive for a one AA. Another cool thing about the skull at DL is that it gets the riders looking up instead of at the drop (which there are two of at DL). The restaurant is the Blue Bayou which...

    Bars at Restaurants

Flying Fish on the Board Walk has both a bar (don't know if they serve food) and a Chef's Bar where you could typically get a single seat. The chef bar is part of the ADR system, but there always seems to be an open seat.

    Victoria and Albert's????

If you really want a special dining experience, see if you can get the Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's. We did this several years ago, and it is a one-of-a-kind event. The chef prepares special meals for each guest, and explains each of them. There is a wine pairing that can go with it...

Worst job to have at WDW?

Owning horses I know that cleaning horse poo isn't that big of a deal. They are not very efficient at digesting the food so it is basically hay in and hay out. I would think the person that gets to separate the trash for recyclables would have more of an issues whistling while they work...

    Dogs!

Yes, but he doesn't know he's a dog. He's sure he is a person in a fur suit. And definitely is in charge.

    Disney's Environmental Efforts

There was a report on the local SoCal news that about half of the Disneyland railroad would be supplied by Bio diesel recycle from the parks fry stations. We were told on the behind the scenes tour at the MK that all trash at WDW is separated by hand. They only put recycle bins out at the AKL...

    Dogs!

Thanks for the compliment! My DH took the picture at an arroyo (creek area) near our house, and was experimenting with different camera settings. It's always interesting taking animal pictures - you never know how they are going to react or pose. We have some great pictures that he has taken...

    Dogs!

Check out the avatar and our name! Our black lab is 16 months old and is named Captain Jack. We have contemplated getting a female black lab and naming her Pearl - then we would have Captain Jack and the Black Pearl!! And yes, he does have an affinity for rum... Here's some pictures -- the...

    CLASSIC, old Disney movies!

How about the one with Brian Kieth (I think) where he was trying to protect the geese from the hunters, I think it was called the Calaways? That was a good one.

    Wilderness Lodge Exercise?

The hotels also have a list of Jog / Walking trails for each facility. At the BCV I would usually go down to the fitness room around 6:00am and there would only be 1 or 2 others using the equipment.
