Carousel of Progress is one of my fondest memories from visiting WDW as an 8 year old. I remember being so amazed at it and loved it. It's one of the few things I can still remember from that trip.

We've stayed at both the Grand Californian and Disneyland Hotel. I preferred the room in the DL Hotel, but the location of GCH can't be beat. I think the next time we go, we'll give an offsite hotel a chance.

I'm very happy there is an official app for Disneyland again. I miss Disney Mobile Magic. I hope they incorporate some of the features that Disney Mobile Magic had. I'd like to see them add restaurant menus into the app as well.

Any one have any info if there will ever be another official Disney app for Disneyland? I used to use Disney Mobile Magic and liked it a lot, but it's no longer supported.

So happy to hear this. I think a big part of Disneyland's charm is you just go and do things at your own pace. No pre-planning necessary. I wish they would either update or create a new Disney Moble Magic app though. I used that on my first trip to Disneyland a few years ago, but it no longer...

As far as I know, they only check for your room key when there is an extra magic hour at DCA.

I'll be there around that time as well. They have the Candlelight Processional Dec. 6 and 7th, but I'm not sure of special things happening during the week.

I don't know why they stopped supporting it, this app had both DL and WDW. It was very nice and I used it a lot during my trip to DL last September. It would be very nice to have a dedicated DL app from Disney.

Disneyland used to be part of the official Disney Parks app, but that app quit working for me last year. It was a nice app too.
