I can report that as of yesterday, October 6th, outside of the scaffolding work being done on the lodge, there are no signs of the DVC expansion construction. I expect this to change soon as walls will begin to go up. Check out our FB page for the latest.

I personally would stay at the Lodge and upgrade to a courtyard room to limit construction issues. If you do switch, I would recommend switching to a monorail resort over AKL if your budget allows.

What are the breakfast options at CL? Are we talking hot items like eggs, bacon, sausage, etc or cold items like fruits, bagels, croissants, etc?

Taking multiple MBs on a trip can get messy. I know it takes a little while for the system to cycle through all of the active MBs.

I was there in mid June and the quiet pool was pretty empty. I personally don't think they needed to mess with it.

At the Beach Club, not only do you scan your band, but you need to wear a separate wristband. It's not that hard.

I know it is impossible to prevent every non-hotel guest from entering, but it will at least deter some people. I know people stand at the gates at the Poly waiting to be let in, but you can always tell them they need to scan their band and not let them in. Sorry, for those paying premium $ to...

Not too worried about a fence on HS, but would really like to see SS pool get the magic band treatment. Too many people there that you could tell they were not guests. Especially the group of 10+ that sat next to us and one kid asked the parent what pool they were going to next.

It should be. The timeline looks as through the spa will return in Feb and I would guess that means most of the construction in that immediate area (the pool) will be done. At least most of the noise will be over. I would expect the Feb time table to get pushed back a month or two (as with...

Agreed. I called WL and asked if the Villa pool would be open next June and the CM said "Yes, they are only doing construction to the Hidden Springs Pool" not knowing that they are one and the same. Don't call CMs for construction info, they are just not informed or cannot talk about such topics.

Walkway to MK won't happen. They don't even have a walkway from the Grand to MK and there is already half of a pathway there and would be much shorter.
