    McDonald's leaving the parks?

There is also the Village Fry Shoppe in Fantasyland. I hate seeing McDonalds in the parks, but in this case, I guess a Fry stand is better than when it sat closed for years as Lumiere's.

    McDonald's leaving the parks?

But they haven't done away with Dairy in their fries. We always avoid McD's fries becuase of our son's allergies. Disney's fries are fine, though.

    McDonald's leaving the parks?

From everyone's favorite, Al Lutz: He only mentions Disneyland, but could this also apply to WDW? I'd be happy to see McD's leave the parks, but they have a bigger presence at WDW, especially Dinoland.

    Disney Transport update

The music was ok. Nothing like returning to the All Star Music after a long day, listening to "Friends in Low Places". Is that what they think of Value guests? :) We had one great driver during our week in WDW. I forget his name, but he talked, gave trivia, and told jokes the whole way...

Jim Hill strikes again; AC leaving PI, finding better home

Camp Minnie Mickey would seem to be an ideal place. They could finally expand it into a full land and it should be possible to have an outside entrance near Rainforest.

    Noodle station closed till 2011??

It doesn't make sense. The MK is reaching record attendance levels and the DDP is booking up TS restaurants. But Adventerland Veranda and the Diamond Horseshoe remain closed. Aunt Poly's is seasonal and no longer serves lunches. Pirata y el Perico and Tomorrowland Terrace are seasonal. So...

Animal Kingdom - 11/05/07 - Observations and new stuff

I remember using paper straws in the Magic Kingdom during my first visit in 1984. They held up pretty well, but they did start to fall apart a bit after a while.

    Permits 8/23

Didn't they use the Keelboat area as an overflow queue at times? Perhaps they are getting it ready to handle the larger crowds when Haunted Mansion re-opens.

Construction around the old 20K site?

What about the old Mermaid Lagoon rumor? Any truth to that one? And isn't there room for 2-3 e-tickets on that site?

    "Adios" El Rio del Tiempo!

Can they also fix it so that the audio is in sync with the boat? I can't remember the last time I actually heard the whole audio for the ride.

    MGM finally being dropped?

I think this has been mentioned before, but very little in the Great Movie Ride would have to change. MGM sold off most of their movie library. For example, the Wizard of Oz was bought by Turner, now Time Warner. Others weren't even MGM. Alien - Fox Indiana Jones - Lucasfilm Casablanca...

    fav moderate resort?

Dixie Landings (I'll always remember it by that name), Bayou section. It feels so remote and quiet. I love the theming. It feels like you're in the south.

    Deluxe resort losing a star?

This is a change from past years. I don't know when it changed, but the Boardwalk used to be 4 diamonds, the All Stars and Pop Century used to be 3 diamonds. Maybe it is the Boardwalk that they were talking about losing stars/diamonds. Years ago, maybe 10-15, the Polynesian was 4 diamonds...

2005 Attendance #'s (anyone have them)

The opening of new parks has had an affect on attendance. WDW attendance as a whole is higher now than it was in 1997, but the individual parks are lower because of the AK, which has drawn some visitors away from the other parks. Combined park attedance at WDW: 1997 - 39.2 million 2000 -...

    New Vacation Planning DVD

I always call it the A.D.D. video. They jump around so much and never show anything for more than 2 seconds. I guess they're catering to the attention spans of young people today.

    Space Mountain painted

At least they aren't letting it get as bad as this. I don't remember where I got this photo, but it's from 1979.
