The difference between Remy and FEA is that Remy didn't replace or change anything really, it's just an addition. So the France pavilion of yesteryear is still basically 100% intact. Even if you end up hating the finished product, you could go to the France pavilion and just not turn the corner...

I do hope it's better 'in action' but just to have big pieces of paper and around the stage is a very obvious design choice. I wish they had done something more conceptual and abstract.

I think the new set and costumes looks hideous and cheap. Reminds me of the Magical Map show at Disneyland. I love the idea of making a new show that relates to Disney but this doesn't look very sophisticated.

Agreed! I don't want to see any gears unless they are in the Industrial Revolution section of SSE.

I would say that colors have absolutely been tweaked from that original artwork. Also the original concept art was just very poorly done. The model at D23 seems to be a better representation of what they are going for :)

I can't see them theming it at this point. I think the most we could hope for is some tall landscaping to obscure it a bit.

I've got to believe they are only empty temporarily and there is a bigger plan for something to go there. But then again, maybe not ;)

The only way those colored stripes helped anyone move through 'unfamiliar lands' is by making the guests want to get away from them since they were so ugly.

I know in one of the preview videos from D23 when they showed the renovated area, the buildings were white/light gray. Obviously who knows what will end up happening but at least it's being considered to paint them.

Are they actually removing the overhead shade 'kites' yet? I keep seeing reports of them coming down on twitter but it seems people on here are saying that several of them have been gone for many years.

I agree and can't wait to see it with it's final lighting package :)

The sense of scale with this addition is really amazing. I think I'm more excited at seeing the finished exterior than the actual ride.
