Those are completely different shades of pink and blue.

Rose gold is a metal. If it's not metallic then it is pink. It's like if gold is not metallic it's just yellow.

I agree those new photos are much more flattering. There is still something very 'off' to me about the saturation and purple tone to the shingles. They look very cheap / plastic-y as others have pointed out.

This photo looks lightened and desaturated to me, either by filter or just the nature of the camera. I think it's deceiving to the actual paint colors.

There's really no arguing that the final product is not what was promised. This is almost giving me the fail-vibes of when Disneyland painted Space Mountain brown. I'm curious to see what public opinion is and if this ends up being a very short lived color scheme.

I don't hate it but my issue is that it's just flat, solid color. There are no subtle gradations or ombres that would give it some depth. The shingles should have some different tones of blue. And yes, I agree the colors could have been a bit more subtle.

I've come to really love that they kept the original castle intact. I think it's a really nice statement that (to me) says they acknowledge where the park started but are continuing to pursue their own unique style. It's almost an homage to the original Disneyland built into their (now)...

Love this particuar shot as it perfectly show the stylistic parallels between the new castle and mystic manor. No matter what I think of the new castle (and I do really like it), you have to give HKDL credit for finding their own aesthetic that is unique.

It's definitely possible, though I still don't understand the need to justify architectural choices by finding real-life examples. It's a fairy tale castle, and it need not be bound by reality.

Do we think they are repainting all of the stonework? It looks slightly darker in the concept art but not sure if that's just for the art.

But did you view them from the skyliner or the ground? I have no doubt they look out of place from the skyliner, but they are clearly intended to be viewed from the ground, where you will be able to see much less of them and at a much different angle.

Even though "Pinocchio" character names sound Italian, the look and feel of the film feels more German to me as well. The Village house music is all yodelling, and Pinocchio is even wearing lederhosen in the film. I guess the intent was that the film felt just generally European without getting...
