I think this is such a superior sign than the Paris original. Lots of added details and flourishes, and it features Remy in the sign which I really like. Sometimes imagineering does get it right.
I'm happy that our sign will be different from the Paris version. It looks to be more grand and ornate which I think is wise. Our area has a more fantasy, over-the-top feel so this should fit in better.
I've been thinking the same thing. I actually love how it feels related to SE in the faceted panels, yet still ties into the original design of the pavilion. I think this is one of the recent changes that was done very well. The changes going on inside however.....
Agree, I wish we would get a more old-fashioned looking Marquee sign for the actual ride. The Paris version looks like a new piece of shiny plastic....which it is.
I'm Bri - 36 and I use he/him pronouns. What a lovely idea for a thread!
To get a little discussion going- are the 'gay days' at Disney official or is it something that fans created? Have you ever gone and what was your experience like?
I have no way of knowing what they'll do - but it would make SO much more sense to have painted these tiles on the ground in a paint shop and then just install them. Also I'm pretty sure they already are painted that gold color. I would bet that these are the final painted color.
It might not be my favorite building/color combo ever, but I have no idea why it's been turned into this massive problem for people. I think the area is looking lovely for the most part. It definitely leans more fantasty-Paris but it is an area inspired by a Pixar movie so it makes perfect sense...
I stand by my previous statements that I think most people are not prepared for just how little of the flats you are going to see when on the ground in France. You are going to see a bit of roof and some chimneys and that's about it.
I think it's going to look fine when you are on the ground in France, especially considering how little of it you'll actually see. The problem is that it is clearly visible from the skyliner and when you are outside of France.
