News Coco Boat Ride Coming to Disney California Adventure

I'm talking about a little dip into the bay, a la Splash, not a boat traveling through the bay. This would be further away from the fountains than those watching the show. The biggest reason they wouldn't do this isn't the bay and WOC, its because the "pier" isn't a real pier and its on...

News Coco Boat Ride Coming to Disney California Adventure

California was Mexico. Plus, nobody said the ride started/ended in Mexico. We just know it will be set, for the most part, in the land of the dead.

News Coco Boat Ride Coming to Disney California Adventure

They wouldn't have to close for WOC. Splash never closed for Fantasmic.

News Coco Boat Ride Coming to Disney California Adventure

I think some kinetic energy between SSS and Pixar Pal Around is welcome, especially if it's at the water level. The lack of visual features or movement in the bay is one of the weakest parts of DCA for me. And I think exiting the cartoon world of Splash for a brief trip outside before...

News Coco Boat Ride Coming to Disney California Adventure

I think you're looking at the drop occuring like a Pirates whereas I'm thinking a long the lines of Splash's final.frop.

News Coco Boat Ride Coming to Disney California Adventure

Nope, its fine. The ride appears to be a part of Pixar Pier, meaning we are entering a Mexican-style courtyard and queue space in the midst of this seaside amusement park. So splashing down into a spectacular view of that seaside park would be fantastic. Especially if (none of this is going...

News Coco Boat Ride Coming to Disney California Adventure

I know it isn't going to happen, but I'd love if the drop sent us out into the bay briefly before sending us back under the pier and into the show building.

I would never say they don't care, as people end up there due to a passion for it. It's the peak to reach. I'm just saying the others don't have the same inherited respect and gravitas to shield them and are being trained to keep trying to work within the mandates.

I think she's allowed to care because of her name. I think the new era of Imagineers are being trained in art of delivering only what is asked of them.

That's right! I forgot about her replacing African natives with monkeys for three different scenes in the Jungle Cruise. I think she did the new Red scene too. She has a gift for taking the interesting and making it a little more basic.

Snow White is objectively worse. Mirror under a bridge? Rushed demise of the Witch despite her still being the most focused on character? The facade and queue? It's all a downgrade. Treehouse is a lateral move. Glad it has work, sad to see the loss of the suspension bridge and trunk. But...

Mansion queue is well designed, but filled with off the shelf decor that doesn't fit the queue. And large black exposed speakers sitting on the Mansion's balcony. So immersive. Snow White is a mess that takes one of the best Fantasyland rides and turns it to the worst.

I know she headed the Snow White retheme and was interviewed as if responsible for the recent changes to HM.

Snow White Reskin, Haunted Mansion queue and shop, I believe she was on the team for Tiana's for a good chunk of time, Galaxy's Edge. She has all of the skills of a nepotism hire. She understands the culture but doesn't have the same level of skills that her mother and others had.

News Avatar Experience coming to Disneyland Resort

That's not the orientation though. Nor the right area. It's taking up part of the backlog area, not Hollywood Blvd. Those rings are the backdrop oriented above the show building at Monsters Inc and back.

    All things Universal Studios Hollywood

Diagon Alley is the best theme park land I have experienced up until Isle of Berk, and still arguably equal. SNW....is not. I can also take the Hogwarts Express from USO and end up at Hogsmede in minutes. Hollywood on the otherhand has an unthemed giant escalator taking me to its expansion...

News Avatar Experience coming to Disneyland Resort

The first one was a concept film showing what this technology can unloack, but without any real plot or characters to support it. The second is pretty must exactly the same, but with slightly better tech and slightly worse dialogue. If you take a shot every time a smurf talks like a SoCal...

News Avatar Experience coming to Disneyland Resort

Disney is the King of announcing things well before they should. Its like they want to milk every ounce of traction they can out of a project before opening.

If it had more coaster attached to it, I'd support it. But its just launch up, and down and coast to the station. The tophat should be the start of the coaster, not the entire coaster. This would prevent it from being as one-note as it is and would allow more trains to operate, increasing...
