Would you rather pay less for an “Only Disneyland Park” annual pass?

Nah, that was TOT. And luckily, while DCA's facade and queue were certainly subpar, at least the ride portion was improved upon the original. The retheme took a discount facade and queue and made them worse and then made the ride portion much worse with nothing but screens; dropping it out of...

Would you rather pay less for an “Only Disneyland Park” annual pass?

Mission BO also feels like a Universal Studios Hollywood version of a superior Universal Studios Orlando attraction. It works, but it feels really cheap and basic.

Would you rather pay less for an “Only Disneyland Park” annual pass?

Haunted Mansion and Pirates are world class. Big Thunder is an impeccably done themed mine train coaster that we see done everywhere. No shade, it's one of my favorites, but to a generic tourist, it's just that. Space is a generic tame coaster in the dark that we see replicated a bit. Peter Pan...

Would you rather pay less for an “Only Disneyland Park” annual pass?

Epcot is MUCH better than Magic Kingdom. Especially back in its heyday.

Would you rather pay less for an “Only Disneyland Park” annual pass?

I wouldn't even give them Star Tours, Pinocchio, or Alice as those three have character and charm. Heck, Pinocchio and Alice are two of the best FL darkrides. I'd say that Monsters Inc is similar to the new downgraded Snow White. Soarin' is too bare bones and unthemed to be compared to Star...

Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain vs Space Mountain

Both are overrated coasters in my opinion. Space has become better over the years with improvements (although RIP slightly better Dick Dale soundtrack) while Everest has worsened over the years. Everest is more impressive; but I still hate the start/stop nature of Everest. It feels like the...

Would you rather pay less for an “Only Disneyland Park” annual pass?

Mission BO, Incredicoaster, Goofy's Sky School, Pixar Pal Around, Radiator Springs Racers, and even GRR/Soarin' have moderate thrills without any of that pesky Disney storytelling.

Would you rather pay less for an “Only Disneyland Park” annual pass?

The way to differentiate from Disneyland is with theme, focus, and design; not quality. If DCA had been built with better planning, we wouldn't have the best land and original icon of the park locked into a tiny corner between a parade route and a ginormous hotel with zero expansion space. We...

Would you rather pay less for an “Only Disneyland Park” annual pass?

If people want a Knott's/Six Flags experience with thrill rides and carnival rides over anything immersive, DCA does satisfy that. I just don't understand why you'd pay Disney prices when you could just go to Knott's or six Flags and get more thrill for less money. It's why I always wished DCA...

Would you rather pay less for an “Only Disneyland Park” annual pass?

I only go to DCA for RSR and Animation Academy, so I could easily do DL only. DCA needs more darkrides and more than one Disney-quality E ticket.

    California Adventure vs EPCOT

If it was current Epcot vs DCA around 2011, it might have more of a fighting chance. But the loss of TOT, TTBAB, MV3D, Red Car, Bug's Land, and the uglification of Paradise Pier and Incredicoaster have set DCA back quite a ways. Current Epcot has the weight of another cheaply themed Guardians...

DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

I mean, at DCA I miss it only because TTBAB is gone and PhilharMagic makes the Hall of Presidents seem exciting. Muppets was a cute show, but pretty mid when comparing it to other 3-D shows. It was better than Captain EO and PhilharMagic but didn't live up to TTBAB or even HISTA.

If you were stuck with the left or right side of the park, which would you choose?

Left, especially if I get left Fantasyland too. Pinocchio and Casey Jr are great. Only things I'd miss on the right side would be Matterhorn and Toad. With DCA, it is no contest. Pixar Pier and Grizzly peak lack Disney quality attractions and have ugly sightlines. Carsland and Animation...

Disneyland 70th Anniversary Thread - Wishlist, Rumors, Speculation, Announcements

I never appreciated PeopleMover. As an adult now, I definitely understand it more, but it was so outdated. Even the budget Rocket Rods were an improvement. If they had only banked those turns, it would have been killer. I miss Rocket Rods and HISTA. Heck, I even miss Innoventions compared to...

Disneyland 70th Anniversary Thread - Wishlist, Rumors, Speculation, Announcements

Sadly, no. I just earnestly liked Rocket Rods. I was 14 when they debuted, so I loved them and was so happy that Peoplemover was gone. I definitely see the issues with them, but they were a much needed shot in the arm of the tired Tron tunnel and other laughably dated elements of the PM.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

I rode Tuesday when the ride was up and down a ton (I mean, when is it not anymore?), and the rockwork overhead near the final turn into the station was like a shower. Clearly something was leaking above the rockwork and we got stuck there, before the bridge, for a good 8 minutes with these fat...

News Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Historical Construction/Impressions

I would disagree. Especially with how sad Billy Dee Williams was in Rise of Skywalker. Rise is fine. Sure, it could use a better queue and some new practical effects on the ride, but the experience works pretty well from preshow to finale. Adding a more convoluted plot and old characters looking...

News Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Historical Construction/Impressions

Yeah, I acknowledged she was in the cartoon show. I tried watching it a few times and it's skewed too young for me. And I hate the animation style. I have no issues with people liking it or liking her, but as a casual fan who is visiting the parks, she's that really bland and boring character...

News Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Historical Construction/Impressions

Sounds pretty janky and cluttered compared to the streamlined experience we currently have. The face swap/voiced by Hamilton stuff in Mandalorian was bad enough, I'd love not see that every time I want to ride Disney's new big E ticket. And replacing Rey with Ahsoka sounds terrible. Rey wasn't...
