when did a trip to WDW become a 6 time a year thing? Looking for opinions.

Times are changing. People, in general, make more money than they did when the parks opened. Society has changed-people are finally traveling more, esp after 9/11. I have put a WDW vacation on a credit card before, but we don't carry balances. It is personally none of anyone's business how...

What's the sickest you've been at WDW?

I have never been sick at WDW, but our first trip, I was 7, my oldest brother got food poisoning very badly. He spent a couple of days in bed while we went to the parks! I felt bad-for a second-hey, I was very young! It was just Epcot and MK back then. In 2005, my husband got a small cold...

    Meanest Attraction?

I have never encountered a rude CM ever. I have, however, observed some very tired CM. Perhaps from being worked too much, I don't know. I tend to be kind to people so I don't usually get flak back.

Animal Kingdom Lodge / Grand Floridian ??

I've never stayed at GF, but AKL is my favorite resort by far. We thought about GF with our trip this year, but it seemed a bit stuffy for us. I'm sure it's wonderful to stay there, but maybe in the distant future for us. AKL is, in my opinion, the most relaxing resort on the property.

Start Dieting for WDW trip PART II

Ha ha Jimbo- I will be splurging on a few things! I can't resist chicken strips or a Mickey bar. I'm sure I can work off what I eat since WDW is a crapload of walking, swimming, etc. I think if I totally cut loose I wouldn't be able to control myself when I got home. I know, calories don't...

    survey

It's been every time I have called over the past month. I have never done it, I said I could do it, then I got so excited I hung up, forgetting about the survey. I did receive an email survey which I completed and it was easy and fun, believe it or not. I had a really outstanding CM making...

Start Dieting for WDW trip PART II

Wow, Fizzle, you have been through a nightmare! I am glad that you have pinpointed the problems. Many times that is half the battle. Take things one minute at a time. I would consider going to see a nutritionist-they are very helpful in formulating a meal plan that takes every aspect of your...

Start Dieting for WDW trip PART II

I do The Firm-so far my favorite. It kicks your behind and does shape you up. I used to do Tae Bo but that got sooo boring! I also walk in the afternoons if the weather is nice. I love the fresh air and my son loves to look around. I am seriously considering purchasing an elliptical...

Start Dieting for WDW trip PART II

I knew a guy in college who drank 6+ reg sodas a day. He stopped cold turkey, (got a major headache) but lost like 6 pounds in a couple of weeks. I agree carb-free is not good. Once you eat regularly the weight comes back and the diet is full of fat. Kybred-Thanks so much! I really like...

Start Dieting for WDW trip PART II

I'll chime in-I've been doing WW since Feb 7 and am down 16.6 pounds. I gained my weight after Cole was born, only 7 pounds gained while pregnant- I actualy lost quite a bit. I work out daily at 5 am (before Cole gets up), and have been eating really healthy. I hope to be down another 10-14...

Restrooms to avoid at all costs.

I have never come across a substandard restroom, but I will pass it along to my husband. Women's restrooms always seem to have plenty of stalls. I'm a "go, wash my hands, exit ASAP" type. Fellow women must love me-I've set records for my speed! After all, going to the bathroom takes time...

    Crowds in May?

We have gone almost every year in May and the crowds have been moderate. If I recall, we waited maybe 25 mins or so for Splash, Buzz, etc. Not bad at all. The weather is usually beautiful! It's hot and humid, but usually not monstruosly hot like Aug/Sept. You'll have a great time!

    WDW Picture of the Day

dazzer68-I love the photo of the train station at MK. It makes me feel like I am there and the sun is warming me and I don't have a care in the world! It is cold, cloudy and windy here in MI-it's nice to be reliving such a place today!

How Important Are The Resorts To You?

We stayed off property once, our first trip after graduating college. We will never do it again. We have stayed at ASM, AKL and will be staying at the Poly this year due to a great deal. We took into consideration the fact that our 10 month old may have some major blow outs. A monrail resort...

    NEW WDW 2006 Attendance Figures!

The numbers are great to see, even if they are estimates. Captain Hook put in perspective for me-approx. 50, 000 guests a day?!? That is crazy! I love hearing that WDW/DL/DCA are that busy! I'll gladly wait in the queues, though-especially if it contributes to growth!

Just to add on, you are allowed to bring in glass baby food containers, if need be.

    Babysitting at WDW

I personally would never leave my son in my resort with a stranger while I am out with no way of getting a hold of me. It creeps me out. You never know when someone is planning something-it doesn't matter how many references/checks they have had. They could walk out with him without anyone...
