Lighthouse Point to welcome guests in Summer 2024

This is the main reason we canceled our Treasure reservation. I don't want to spend all that money just to be angry the whole time.

Lighthouse Point to welcome guests in Summer 2024

Limit outdoor walking, bring the focus back inside to the new, premium shopping area. It's "more Disney."

News Disney Lakeshore Lodge (Project 89 - Development near Fort Wilderness)

There is little to no chance they will spend the money to redesign, because that would be spending the money. They will build it and someone will buy it. The location will sell it even if it means destroying the vibe of the place. It's really sad.

News Disney Lakeshore Lodge (Project 89 - Development near Fort Wilderness)

I think almost everyone is pulling for anything other than the original plan

MK Country Bear Jamboree is getting new songs and acts

This is a great point. Disney really seems to have lost sight of what people of all generations love. They want to be entertained. The novelty of the bears singing songs will eventually be lost, but many of us saw the old shows many times. It always seemed fresh and funny.

Lighthouse Point to welcome guests in Summer 2024

It explains why "little" things such as the walking deck seemed okay to omit. People, who cruise a lot, really love that space to get out, see the ocean, and walk off a little of the endless food.

EPCOT Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

I think a lot of us miss the exclusive merch that one could find at various places around WDW in the early days. Don't get me off a tangent about the house of magic or the already mentioned Centorium, which was just cool no matter what they were selling.

    Disney Cruise Line Fleet Expansion

While I have not heard this either, it does make sense. People tend to like and show partiality to what they know.

News EPCOT's Harmonious to be replaced with new nighttime spectacular Luminous

We were seeing it again. The bridge was inoperable for a while, so they remained in the lagoon. They have to move everything from backstage to reload and prep the show, so it takes much longer that way. They don't like it any more than we do.

EPCOT Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

I think this is true for us old people who remember and loved the first Figment, who was fun and lovable. I think there are a ton of people who find him cute now, and I think they are the ones buying the majority of the merchandise.

    Disney Cruise Line Fleet Expansion

This was previously stated, and I will admit it was a matter of being spoiled by the other ships. If I had never scored on DCL, I would think it's a great ship minus the walking deck issue. That's something almost every other line has. The kids club, the great fireworks show, and the other...

EPCOT Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

This is a real concern of mine. With their current thinking I can see them doing this. The only thing that might stop them is the popularity Figment (as awful as current figment is) has garnered in recent years. They make a lot of money on sales from Figment stuff. I would love to see...

Lighthouse Point to welcome guests in Summer 2024

Is it possible the master shipbuilder has a new account?

    Disney Cruise Line Fleet Expansion

In addition to the points made my Disone above, I would like to add a couple of others. Yes, it is nice to walk to the front of the ship, but it does not make up for the inability to walk around the deck - having a real walking deck is nice on a ship. I'm not sure I would call Arendelle more...

News EPCOT's Harmonious to be replaced with new nighttime spectacular Luminous

First Wishes and now this?!? Who knew Paris would be winning our hearts like this.

    Disney Cruise Line Fleet Expansion

I was going to respond, but Disone hit just about everything with a few exceptions. I found the theater seats to be possibly smaller but definitely more uncomfortable. The layout was choppy with dead ends that made no sense - this can be overlooked and you would get used to it I'm sure. The...

    Disney Cruise Line Fleet Expansion

This times 1000. I tell everyone if it's their first cruise the Wish will be great. If you have sailed on the other ships, you'll think the Wish is a step backwards. Go on any of the other four and you'll have a great, great time. Our next cruise was supposed to be on the Treasure, but we...

News EPCOT's Harmonious to be replaced with new nighttime spectacular Luminous

The problem with Starlight is the already happened budget cuts to some pieces that probably shouldn't have been cut. On one hand, you think they'd learn. On the other hand, we have been starving for so long anything will be a hit.

News EPCOT's Harmonious to be replaced with new nighttime spectacular Luminous

This would really make it 10 times better for sure. It is mostly a nice show, but there is something lacking/wrong with the barges bunched up in the middle.

News EPCOT's Harmonious to be replaced with new nighttime spectacular Luminous

Unfortunately, "good" is often measured by boom, bang, flash, pretty, and lots of energy/stuff happening. With regard to story and pacing, DE was actually pretty good. It was in some ways closer to what Disney used to do so well. I didn't love it, but I could respect what it was and what it...
