    Germany '06 Pick Em

I think it's a deterrant only, and I don't think FIFA would have the guts to implement it completely, if at all. After all it is the minority, not the majority, that cause problems and FIFA would be penalising everyone. Anyways, Come On England! :sohappy: (I got my brand new England shirt...

Just a gut feeling -- Disney toned down ride by '05

Even so, the report seems ridiculous, and it's like saying Disney can't do anything right, even after they introduce a solution to the problem (the green bay) they still have to jab them because they originally got it slightly wrong, rather than focusing on the positives.

Just a gut feeling -- Disney toned down ride by '05

What a rubbish article. I think they must be short of things to write about if they have to resort to gut feelings!

TOP 10 BEST Amusement parks, worldwide!

I can see Blackpool across the sea from my house. I've never been. I think that kind of draws a conclusion as to how good it really is compared to all the theme parks in Orlando atleast.

To go or not to go?

If you get there early you can get around quite a few attractions without waiting in a line. But basically, without the express system, normal lines should be shorter. This is what I see as the biggest problem with FastPass, people don't expect to wait in lines anymore just like we all used to...

    does any1 agree with me?

Well, I love them both, because they are different. I disagree with people who say UO rides aren't up to scratch compared to Disney and such, because UO offers different things, such as big thrills, and *shock horror* visible roller coasters. Rides such as Spiderman are amazing, and like for...

    Launch On The Hulk.

It's all about rate of acceleration rather than maximum speed for the thrill of launches. Hulk and RnRC are very comparable, since the Hulk is uphill, and it's reduced acceleration is barely noticeable imo.

    Dr Doom's Fearfall

The ride itself is not scary for me, the thrill comes more from the anticipation of the launch, and not knowing when it was coming. If you can manage Hulk, I think you'd be fine.

Merf chooses to Go! (M:S Green)

Nope, I think dxwwf3 finds the original version tame. I wouldn't myself call it 'intense' but I still find it thrilling.

    Disney dumping McDonald's...great decision

You can't blame McDonalds for obeisity for being successful, it's the people buying the burgers that are at fault (if not part of a well balanced diet).

It's Official- Mcdonald's not renewing their contract

I think Disney is distancing itself from fast food in general, but I think it's important to note that you are never going to have theme-park food as a regular part of your diet and so it's not really a problem. Promoting fast food as part of a person's normal diet seems to be what Disney is...

    What's with their early closing??

Even if closing at 7, Universal is still WAY worth visiting, especially if you haven't visited in 10 years! Maybe it's worth getting up early since it's not a regular trip and then going home early/enjoying CityWalk while you're there. Universal really is very good, and there's plenty of single...

    Future Expansion

Well, certainly looks like they currently do not have plans or even the land for a further theme park (obviously the resort wouldn't support that at the moment, and maybe not ever, but I thought there'd be room). That's if I'm interpreting it correctly.

Mission: SPACE testing a "no G Force" version of the experience

Thanks for the info. I think testing this is a smart move from Disney, it would help with the current bad reputation as if you have an option you have no reason for complaining, it will stop people being alienated if they are scared/don't like thrill rides and also stops any investment being...

Thoughts on bringing kids to Disney

I first went at 5, I remember it and I thoroughly enjoyed it! When we went our parents dragged us round the parks, we didn't stop for breaks back at the hotels, and we were there from 8:30am until closing. We did every theme park and water park in Orlando, plus shopping, plus a hovercraft trip...

WDW 4/18 thru 4/22= Ride Stops, Backstage stuff, Flower/Garden Show, etc

Without even mentioning the fact you could get killed, the very least you are causing are people who come from across the world, pay lots of money for a holiday, and then probably missed something they really wanted to do because you couldn't sit still. It's a shame you were not banned.
