    May 16-22 trip questions!

My friend and I will be there, so that's 2 people at least. That does hit on Memorial Day weekend, which can be busy. The 22nd is the day MK is open 24 hours, but I don't know how much that alone draws people.

    Collecting Pressed Pennies

This is correct. The map is a little xerox-of-a-xeroxy and may not be 100% accurate, but it does exist. It's amazing how many locations there are.

    Underrated Rides You Like

Carousel of Progress Living with the Land Hall of Presidents (not sure if it's really underrated) One Man's Dream

    Universal for 1 day

Lynx Buses may have a direct route there from the Disney area- I know people have done it, but I'm not sure how quick/easy it is. Would be easy if you stayed off-site and your hotel had Disney and Universal shuttles. Like mentioned before, get the park hopper pass. I'd start at Islands- I find...

    VISA Disney Rewards Dollars

I did not know this- thank you.

    Writers Stop

Go to Sweet Spells- they have the carrot cake cookie, too. At least they did when I worked there. Since they're on Sunset Blvd, they'll stay open through the last of the Fantasmic exit rush.

    VISA Disney Rewards Dollars

Just don't let it get too close to the trip to order the card. I don't remember how long it took to get mine, but it wasn't an overnight thing. Even if you get it before a big payment (to get more money on the card), it's better to have the card because you can instantaneously add more Disney...

    JellyRolls

I've been twice and have gotten in free with my CM id. It was really neat- the pianists are certainly talented. For $12, though, you really can't just stop in for a drink for a few minutes. The drinks are also somewhat pricey, but nothing too unexpected. I think it's worth it if you have a few...

Exploring on site outside of parks

My girlfriend and I love resort hopping. Our absolute musts are the Grand Floridian and the Poly, but I also really loved walking around both Port Orleans resorts. The best part about the resort hopping is finding a nice quiet place and getting to just hang out and talk. Or get a drink at the...

First Mexico and Now Norway? Proof America is Getting Dumber?

I loved Maelstrom, but to the masses, it was a 25 year old dark ride without the specific charm old dark rides such as Small World may have. Frozen belongs in Fantasyland; however, it's not totally wrong for it to be in the Norway Pavilion. When a movie makes over a billion dollars, it's bound...

    Confess your Disney Sins!!!!

Unless I went on them when I was 3, I have never been on Dumbo or the tea cups. I've also never been to O'hana, which I would like to change, but also requires me changing being poor.

What would Walt Disney think of the present day Magic Kingdom?

Celebrate the Magic would blow his mind. I think it's awesome and I am accustomed to most of today's technology.

Magic Kingdom Accidentally Got Free Parking

I did this once. It didn't matter since I had free parking anyway. I think I was trying to get to the Poly or something and missed where I was supposed to turn. I headed back towards the gates, then was able to use that little connector road just passed the gates to head back in. No idea what I...

Have you ever lost your car at the parks?

Only every time I worked at Hollywood Studios. After a long day, trying to remember where you parked when the sun was still up can lead to the days all blurring together. I got made fun of a lot for wandering back and forth. At the transportation and ticket center, I usually don't have a problem...

Would you rather spend a day at Disney's Hollywood Studios, or Universal Studios?

I agree. At least produce a few minor things there to make is at least *seem* like a real studio. And I'm not totally against the frozen ride like most people, but it would be better placed in Hollywood studios.

Would you rather spend a day at Disney's Hollywood Studios, or Universal Studios?

On my CP in Spring 2013, I worked at Hollywood Studios, which may have ruined it for me as far as being a guest. Most of my friends and I had passes to Universal and we all would go there maybe 2 or 3 times a month and it was always fun. Even people who work at HS can have a difficult time...

    alcohol at resorts?

The resort drink prices at the bars are expensive, but nothing too extreme or unexpected. But then again, I think drinks at all bars are always expensive. I remember paying about $7 or so for a Bulleit at Port Orleans Riverside. It was a fairly generous pour. As mentioned, many resorts sell...

Bloomberg - No Disney Fun for Orlando Workers as Poverty Nears 20%

Believe me, I worked at WDW. It's still 100 times better than going into a Walmart in Orlando and trying to find a worker that speaks English. Given the seemingly low rates, the quality of workers is still much higher than anywhere that I can think of for the same pay.

Bloomberg - No Disney Fun for Orlando Workers as Poverty Nears 20%

It's all about supply and demand. Disney can get high-quality workers for little money. If somebody wants to make more, they can go somewhere else and there will be 100 people waiting in line to take that job. That being said, if I were Bob Iger, I would be willing to sacrifice my own salary to...

If I could improve Walt Disney World....

These things may have been said in the first 31 pages, but... -Captain Eo has to go. It's not Disney and it's very dated. And people forget that MJ is a pedo. Why is it around still!? - add more countries to the world showcase. There's room. - more dining options at Hollywood Studios...
