Jessica Rabbit removed from Trunk- Roger Rabbits Cartoon Spin

People have heard different things (kinda like the infamous *good teenagers take off your clothes*) The questionable moment is when Daffy and Donald are in the dueling piano bar if you want to look it up.

Jessica Rabbit removed from Trunk- Roger Rabbits Cartoon Spin

CARtoon Spin is gonna feel off with Runaway Railway opening...almost like it will turn into a standby attraction to absord crowds around the new attraction and certainly play second fiddle from here on out. The movie is certainly irrelevant to young families today. Jessica Rabbit is suggestive...

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

Disney can't explain Song of the South in the year 2021. It's not just a princess plush push.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

The soundtrack element is one thing that sets the two American Splash Mtns apart. The Critter Country one is more jazzy (New Orleans) and the Frontierland version is more country western (wild west, Country Bears) I don't see the need for there to be any difference in the two with Tiana songs...

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

And just like that the Splash Mountain thread is where people go to be anti-union 😶

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

Big Thunder doesn't fit in anymore. Maybe time to make it Olaf's Runaway Snow Train Through Big Rock Candy Mountain

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

Right on 🤗 Anyone arguing that Tiana doesn't fit along the Rivers of America just doesn't want her there in the first place. This will be basically right across from the docks to Tom Sawyer Island and makes more sense than Song of the South which is not in a riverfront location.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

My point is that kids are not so attached to animatronic animals as old school Disney fans might be. At the end of the day these new attractions are for kids and their families to enjoy together, so I wouldn't be surprised if new Splash takes a step back from a lot of critters with hurkyjerk...

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

My point is that Five Nights plays into the creepiness of aninatronics, especially malfunctioning ones, which Splash is becoming more and more full of...

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

Of course many people have a nostalgic connection to the critters in Splash Mtn, but honestly there is a clear move away from furry animatronics maybe not so much at Disney but elsewhere in entertainment. Five Nights at Freddie's created a sense of horror around these things which led to the...

Destinations Other Than Disneyland: Where To?

If you like Harry Potter, visit Oxford, England! The city of universities and the traditions there inspired much of Hogwarts. I did an international program there summer of 2019. I thought of scheduling my flight from Florida to visit Harry Potter worlds at Universal, but thought *I'll be in...

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

I think people are just trying to convince themselves Tiana's Bayou Blast isn't coming to FL yet it clearly will. The new figures in the ride may not have as much wear and tear because they won't be furries. Animatronics have come a long way since Splash opened.

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

With the riverboat tie-in it seems almost designed when Princess and the Frog was released that it would eventually replace Splash. I have this theory that Disney creates movies to eventually overlay problematic or tired attractions (like Frozen at EPCOT) Fantasyland isn't necessarily a catch...

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

True. Country Bears is clearly a spoof of 50s-70s country music. As a Tennessean and a musician I don't really like the depictions of the bears as saying country musicians are stupid. One lyric about the song only having three chords and being in the good ole key of G implies that country and...

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

It's likely a good idea of what the finished project will look like. It will feel most immersive at night I'm sure.

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

So where is a better fit? I don't think Fantasyland would make much sense because nothing there takes place in America. Main Street wouldn't make sense and doesn't have thrill or dark rides. On the banks of the Rivers of America makes a great setting.

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

If Song of the South and Country Bears can exist in frontierland, so can Tiana. Geez. Don't Woody and Jessie appear in Frontierland? Wasn't Woody's Roundup rumored to replace Country Bears? Anybody arguing so heavily against Tiana fitting in to Frontierland just doesn't want her represented...

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

This reworking of Splash Mountain shows me that Disney is making a commitment to increasing Tiana's presence. It's like the ride is going to be a sequel to the film.
