WDW Character Pic of the Day

Was this a recent pic? I'd love to see Rabbit!

    Wishes or Illuminations?

I love both of them and as a pure fireworks spectacular, Wishes would be hard to beat, but of course Illuminations is more than just a fireworks spectacular, and with the wonderful music it just edges ahead for me. Add to this that Illuminations will always come at the end of a day in Epcot...

DHS Backlot Tour-should it stay or go?

DHS is not exactly a park overflowing with things to fill out your day, so to remove a lengthy attraction (even one that's as lousy as the "backlot" tour has become) would not be a good idea unless it were replaced by something of similar time-filling capacity.

And then the rain rain rain came down down down...

Happened to me too - going the other way. There was actually a queue of people at the top of the conveyer waiting to get on the ride and because of some "failing to correctly get onto the ride" incident (how hard can it be!?) a backlog quickly developed - it was faintly scary being caught in...

And then the rain rain rain came down down down...

I have found a very reliable way of predicting thunderstorms over the years. All I have to do is stand in line for Test Track, and the storm will come. The certainty increases, the longer the period I've been standing in line. In all seriousness, I always seem to get the worst weather when...

    Cheddar soup must remain...

What Time Do You Go To The Magic Kingdom??

Me too... same with all the parks.

Can someone explain the Food and Wine Festival to me?

I'm excited that I'm going to be there this year for it. It's wonderful in many ways... but the best... you can get the Canadian cheddar soup without having to book six months in advance!

Epcot 25th Anniversary Gallery featured on front page of times guide for Easter week

Walking around that gallery was tremendous for me, an Epcot nut. Such a shame it took me so long to find it, and that (apart from my girlfriend) I was the only person in there for the hour I spent looking around. Hope it attracts a few more visitors because of this.

Lilo and Stitch coming to Disneylands small world. Are we next?

Oh dear. Looks like the chicken strips thread might have some competition at last.

    McDonald's leaving the parks?

Since they sponsor the whole Dinoland area (and Nemo Musical) it seems unlikely Restaurantosaurus will be going anywhere soon. Who knows about the ones in the other parks?

Chicken Strips Gone from the World?

Well... the meat in those chicken strips was not plain old chicken breast, that much is sure. There was a lot of added water there, and probably all sorts of preservatives all mashed in with the meat. I don't really understand how this can be part of a "healthy eating" campaign at all. The...

Chicken Strips Gone from the World?

The latest thing to fall "fowl" of the healthy eating drive? (Joking apart, I'm not sure I fully understand the deal here. So, you get the same thing, but half the size - and so, twice as many? Is that such a hardship?)

WDW Picture of the Day (Continued)

It can't compete with KeeKee's great shot, but I love the tigers too, so while people are in a tiger mood...

    Mcdonalds at the parks

I know what you mean, but there must be a few people without ADRs who are less than pleased with the options available. For the great food at Epcot, you need to book in advance, and a lot of people won't realise it. I bet a few of the people at the McD's have probably walked all around trying...

    Walk to Fantasia Mini-Golf?

Yes - go for it. We did the same thing, no problems.

    YOAMD Winnaaaahhhs! Boo-Yaaaa!!!

Great story, and I've seen Elton on both of my visits to WDW this year, such a great CM. First time he dished out some dream lanyards to a load of us on Test Track, second time (several months later) I chatted to him lurking around the exit to Mission Space. No prize that time, but he still...
