I think it is supposed to be finished by sometime in July. August should be fully open unless there are delays.

News Refurbishment coming soon to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort - Moana details to be included

Disney posted a TikTok video (which has given me a headache). The toilet is beyond the shower with a door to separate it off from the main part of the bathroom.

Ready to buy, push me over the edge

Buying at AKL would "guarantee" (no such thing as a guarantee in DVC booking) you the option to book AKL at 11 months and change to SSR at 7 months for any trip--*some* variety "guaranteed." The opposite wouldn't necessarily be true if purchasing at SSR. With this being said, I suspect you...

Ready to buy, push me over the edge

As everyone says... buy where you would not be disappointed to stay every time. Historically, SSR will always have availability at 7-months. That is not always the case with AKL. I know nothing about Aulani availability... but from the info you have listed, I think AKL is the choice.

News Refurbishment coming soon to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort - Moana details to be included

So what's the story here? A real refurb or just some piddling to use as a good cover to not reopen an unneeded resort space?

DVC Rentals - Contemporary vs. Poly vs. Grand Floridian

Depending on your park choices, the DVC buildings at the Polynesian are a short walk from the TTC where you can take a direct monorail to Epcot... this is, of course, in addition to the Magic Kingdom monorail options. Poly studios also have the split bathroom, which is nice with four folks to...
