    Kids at WDW and souvenirs...

We usually give each of the kids their own gift card with $100-$150 on it and we let them spend it as they see fit. When they run out, they run out. They lucked out the first few trips as my mother-in-law came with us, so of course grandma gave them each a few more bucks when they ran out.

Paying for a Disney Vacation Question???

We booked all four of our previous trips through CAA up here and after putting down the room deposit a year or so out from each trip, we would then go in every couple of weeks or months, or whenever we managed to get a little extra cash (income tax return or something like that), and put more...

You Know You're a Hardcore Disney Fan When...

...you look around your house after you put up all of your Christmas and tree decorations and realize that there are more Mickey/Disney related ones than Santa ones. Even both of our trees are adorned with Disney toppers - a Tink star on our real tree upstairs and a Mickey in a robe holding two...

    Best water Park???

Can't go wrong with either. I prefer Typhoon because of Crush 'N Gusher, but for a 6 year old, I would probably go with Blizzard Beach. Seems a little bit more kid oriented. Either way - enjoy!

    Xbox 360 or PS3?

Did most of my gaming on my computer for years until I finally broke down and bought a PS3 a few years ago, mainly for the bluray feature at the time. So glad I went with PS3 though - LOVE their console specific series that you mentioned in your post, especially the Uncharted series.

P.S. Sorry I had to break it up there. It only allows 420 characters per post for some reason. lol

Very cool to hear that you are going to get to spend some of that recovery time down in warm, sunny Florida! With the year you've had, what with the van accident earlier in the year and now THIS, you guys deserve it! Nice to be able to head down and spend some much needed R&R time with people...

Having been through it a couple of times now with my father (he's had a couple of heart attacks, valve repair and a triple bypass I believe), it is definitely an ordeal I wouldn't wish on anyone. Very scary to have to go through as a family member; couldn't imagine having to be the one suffering...

Oh man - sorry to hear about your health scare, Carl. I imagine it must have come as quite a shock to you to go in for pills and come out with news like that! I am glad to hear that they were able to fix the valve though and that you are on the road to recovery.

Two pin codes within 29 days, has anyone had that happen?

I used to get them quite frequently. Sometimes it seemed like one came every month or two. Sadly I haven't gotten one in a LONG time. It's okay since we won't be going for at least a couple of years anyways, but I just miss getting them. :(

    May 2013 trip?

Won't be going until 2014-2015 at the earliest myself, but am glad you posted this. Although our trip isn't for some time, we were debating between October 2014 or April/May 2015 and this is kinda tipping me towards April/May. As much as I hate the fact that it would push our trip back 6 months...
