I'll second a lot of what you say in this post. I was able to experience SCBB a week before visiting Disney, and was struck by how much of what happens at SCBB could be put in/plussed with Disney's resources. Can you imagine that mini-golf course if Disney got their hands on it?!

I was definitely feeling that stress prior to my trip this year. DLR is such a different beast. I learned that the less in stone plans I had, the more enjoyable the trip. Spring for the maxpass and enjoy!

I've done this at rope drop at the park pre-Pandora. The cast members seemed genuinely surprised to see me there! That being said, having one of the theater attractions to yourself can be pure magic. My boyfriend and I had Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln right before park close on our last trip...

I was finally able to experience Pixar Pier. I actually didn't mind the Incredicoaster as much as I feared I would. I think the fact that the ride is a self-aware rebranding really helps it. I'm looking at making my first trip at the end of May/Early June and can't wait to see this park!

I certainly appreciate WDI having the forethought to include a B mode for the ride, even if it pales in comparison to what it stands in for. I was surprised to have a much more positive reaction to NRJ than what I've read on the boards. That being said, for a ride with so few practical effects...

Honestly, seeing the gutted remains of UOE makes me very thankful we don't have a similar view into the former GMR show building. I think seeing the wreckage of the former attraction makes the transition even harder to stomach.

So we're in agreement...With the addition of an Indy boat ride, Adventureland = Boatland and with the addition of Tron, Tomorrowland = Enclosed Dark Coasterland :)

We were really disappointed in Ghost Galaxy this weekend. The projections were laughable and there didn't seem to be any narrative point to the whole thing. The ride itself is really great, but the ghost "theming" was just a mess.

I can't begin to tell you the roller coaster of emotions I just experienced I read this thread. I'm definitely glad to see the damage wasn't too extensive!

If only there was an appropriate place for Buzz to move to at DHS. A "toy story land" if you will :)

I just finished watching @marni1971 excellent WOL video. I didn't visit my first Disney park until the year the pavilion closed, so seeing this really made me appreciate what an integral part of Future World this was. I can't believe it has only been used as a festival space for all these years...

Ahhh my mistake!

Seeing this new paint job in contrast to the old makes me realize how much Disney really let this building fall into disrepair. Does anyone know if it has been repainted before?

Do you also think that cell phones and the fact that taking pictures is so accessible now had something to do with the need for meet and greets? We're such a selfie crazed culture now that I can't imagine how only having free roaming characters would work. Not that that is an excuse to replace...

I was at the parks for the 4th a couple years ago. We opted to spend the day at AK and honestly had one of the best experiences there. Becuase it was the only park with no fireworks and because this was pre Pandora, the crowds were very light and we were able to enjoy each of the attractions...
