    Ruin A Beloved Attraction!

I assume now they are doing their best to forget those ever existed.

Clamato cool zone, where you can sample various clamato drinks from around the world. Brother Bear Jamboree. That one speaks for itself. Re-theme Space Mountain into “Planes- Fire and Rescue” with special videos in line of Dane Cooks amazing sense of humor

Why are some people snobby and poke fun at people who vacation at Disney?

I know I also like to travel, so if I knew someone who only took Disney vacations I might think internally “hey maybe try something else one year” I’ve thought this before to my friend who, no matter where he goes, mostly sits by a pool/beach and drinks. That’s mainly it. I’ve never said...

New FP rules? We booked FP #1 and FP #2 in two different parks, same day

I mean, yeah I’ve done that too (we rode out there from Tampa once just because we had FoP fast passes a couple weeks after opening) but 4 parks in a day seems exhausting. We’ve considered it a couple times, but “F it, lets go eat dinner and relax” wins out. But I totally get you here. We were...

New FP rules? We booked FP #1 and FP #2 in two different parks, same day

So what’s the max # of parks anyone has made FP’s for in a day? I’ve managed 3, although it was slim pickings at the end of the day at Epcot (I think I was left with Nemo) I’m sure all 4 can be done, but I’ve never tried, feels like I’d only be doing it just to do it.

New FP rules? We booked FP #1 and FP #2 in two different parks, same day

Once you have used up your FP’s that you booked, then I believe you are able to book another at any of the parks. We’ve used up our 3 at one park, then gone to another park and been able to make more, but only one at a time. When you’ve only made one, I’m not exactly sure how that works. But...

Popular rides/attractions you've (intentionally) never experienced

Astro Orbiter at night is pretty cool- the wait is seldom ideal but if you’re at a night function and maybe want a vertigo inducing look at the park at night it’s fun Yeah I don’t have any desire to do rides that “soak” from head to toe. Not a fan of wet socks. Splash, however, really only...

Popular rides/attractions you've (intentionally) never experienced

Mission Space orange (that’s the spinnier one, right? After reading about people dying on that one, and my wife and I starting dating and park going not long after having 2 major surgeries, she wasn’t letting me on. We can ride ToT all day (and we do!) but she’s not going on MS and she’s not...

Tree of Life - Animal List

I have “quiet days” w my wife at some parks, where for whatever reason we aren’t going carpe diem on the park and are just mostly hanging back, avoiding the big crowds and finding something new to do. Sometimes those wind up being the absolute best moments for us too. One such was walking around...

    Splash Mountain Night Time Lighting

That makes two of us. I never post in the “happy place” threads, but those darker, occasionally quiet parts of MK at night are probably it. My nephew and I were hitting the top of BTM as the fireworks were going off in April, and it was as zen a moment you could get on a thrill ride

    Splash Mountain Night Time Lighting

I love it. Dark night at Disney- they can sell glow in the dark magic bands to make some more profit, and keep Main Street well lit, but give us some outdoor dark rides!

How would you feel if Disney partnered up with EA and Nintendo to give some of their IPs some exposure at WDW?

Even as a still active gamer I don’t quite get the EA hate, but I’d say for one they have at least had a hand in crippling and then shelving the Mass Effect games that, while not as well known as Super Mario or Madden, the fans it did/does have are extremely passionate. Their stranglehold on pro...

    Splash Mountain Night Time Lighting

I feel like I’ve been on that Splash Mountain! I was there at night 3 straight evenings at the beginning of April and it wasn’t very well lit then either, but I sort of feel it’s always like that. I have always liked that ride better at night personally Luckily WDE does decent at bug control...

    Splash Mountain Night Time Lighting

I was thinking the same thing. The clash of dark outside and the lit inside parts is always rather cool to me. Plus in the summer lights + water, it’s going to look like a peat bog with all the bugs that flock there

How would you feel if Disney partnered up with EA and Nintendo to give some of their IPs some exposure at WDW?

Didn’t know about MS and WB’s union. I was just sort of spitballing what sort of non Disney video game IP they’d consider ever exploring. (Are we counting TRON or considering that a movie IP?) As far as Kingdom Hearts, I wouldn’t disagree, as they already sell some KH stuff around their retail...

How would you feel if Disney partnered up with EA and Nintendo to give some of their IPs some exposure at WDW?

I would live there I would like it so much. But...they already did something with Six Flags? https://www.engadget.com/2016/04/29/mass-effect-theme-park-attraction-opens-in-may/ It’s probably more the thing something like Six Flags would do. If Disney ever did a video game theme, they would...

Are the feelings for the Yeti unreasonable?

While I don’t disagree, I go back to my point that it’s a sunk cost. Probably not worth it to them to fix for something that has no actual effect on the ride- not to mention taking it out of the rotation there probably puts even more strain on FoP (which I still don’t get how people look at a 4...

NBA 2024/25 Official Discussion Thread (Current Champions: Oklahoma City Thunder)

Wow the cobwebs in this thread! Ok, I am typically pro players vs owners/the league in most instances, but the complaining and temper tantrums towards the referees has to stop. Harden and Paul, the NBA’s equivalent to “let me speak to your manager” guy, make their living seeking out fouls, and...

    Worst Walt Disney World Attraction

The argument was it’s not very exciting and that if you took someone new to WDW on it they’d be bored. I like it, but I wouldn’t ever call it a must ride- I agree though, on this list anyway it’s probably the best. The sorghum plants are easily the highlight!

    Best/ Favorite Animatronic?

Sonny E for sure. When we eat there typically my wife gets the food and I go secure a table. By now, it’s assumed that I’ll be sitting up near his stage! Otherwise, the talking tiki statues in Tiki Room (pretty much everything in there) Honorable mention to the blowfish in TLM with the “I just...
