    Question from a "Beer Snob"

You'd be surprised. Everytime my wife goes to Chicago for business she brings home a 6 pack of Goose Island 312, and we've yet to have any broken soldiers. A grocery bag holding the beer and filled with newspaper seems to do the trick. Now, you're pretty much guaranteed to have TSA look in...

    Question from a "Beer Snob"

Yeungling is actually the oldest brewed beer in the US, and is a solid quality beer. :slurp: I don't want to tell another man what kind of brew to enjoy, but if PBR, Miller High Life and Rolling Rock are what you fancy......may god have mercy on your soul.

    Question from a "Beer Snob"

As a fellow beer snob, I empathize. As has been previously suggested, the Hess across from DD is probably your best bet. The Rose and Crown and American Pavilion in Epcot have good draft beers, but that's not really a solution for you. A little off topic, but I think it would be fantastic if...

    Store Closing - Germany

To that end, I thought they would have made a much bigger deal of the World Cup throughout WS. During our trip in late May you would never have known the World Cup was about to start except for a few merch racks in the African outpost. Opportunity lost imho.

    Last Year For Fantasmic?

Given current economic conditions and the general attitude of Orlando's management toward capital expenditures I seriously doubt this is true. However, just to be on record, I find Fantasmic to be a perfect match for DHS: a yawn-inducing nightcap for a mostly-mediocre (and I'm being generous) park.

High School Musical show moves onto the Sorcerer Hat Icon stage for the summer

Because the CMs work hard in the heat their performance is not to be criticized on a Disney message board that most likely none of them will ever look at?

    Epcot Sign

The link below gives you the long form of all the abbreviations used here: http://www.wdwmagic.com/acronyms.htm This link should probably be stickied at the top of the forums. I lurked here for quite a while before signing up, and these abbreviations can be a bit intimidating to the newbie.

New DVC Resort Near CSR Planned?

I don't understand the hate for SSR. The property is beautifully landscaped, the 1BR and 2BR are decent enough, they have a great pool, a spa, golf, and are a stone's throw away from Downtown Disney. It's not my absolute favorite DVC resort, but then again it's tough to beat the BCV. :animwink:

What merchandise to you buy at WDW?

We usually buy a Christmas ornament on every trip we take. My parents and siblings are big Disney-philes as well, so if our trip falls near Christmas or one of their birthdays we usually take care of that as well. There's also a pop art gallery in Downtown Disney that is dangerous to our...

    wdw nov/ dec

As a Floridian, this is my absolute favorite time to go. The weather is beautiful: upper 60s/70s with occasional cold fronts moving through, there's generally very little if any rain, and the bugs have gone wherever they go during the winter months. The parks are simply spectacular with the...

    How awesome are these?

Awesome in theory, but there's no way I can justify spending that kind of cash.

Anyone else who loves Adventureland most?

My wife and I just returned from a trip to WDW. While I love the ambiance in Adventureland, it does need a bit of freshening up, especially the Jungle Cruise. It's fairly disappointing to see the place that basically invented animatronics with such outdated and stale displays. It's not unique to...

I would strongly recommend you make Epcot your birthday night stop and Drink Around the World. We generally start in Canada with a nice Moosehead Lager and usually can make it to Germany (and the Spaten!) before the ground starts to spin. However, on our most recent trip we started in Mexico...

    Undiscovered Future World tour

I took that tour in March, and as all of the tours we've gone on so far, it was definitely worth the money. My favorite parts were the "lost" restaurant/space in the Living Seas, and learning where the best seats were in Soarin' (row B1). However, the brief stop we made on the top floor of the...
