MK NYE Fireworks, GO SEE THEM!

I have a question that I hope somebody can answer: I spent 2005's New Year's Eve night at Magic Kingdom park and was slightly disappointed that they didn't have confetti to accompany the New Year's Eve fireworks that night. I have no idea why Disney wouldn't have confetti. I've seen them use...

    MK at Phase 3 closing

Anybody who is saying that they're glad that they don't visit WDW on New Year's Eve or will never go there on that day don't know what they're missing. Sure it's busy with tons and tons of people. You might get squished inbetween a park full of strangers and bumped into from time to time...

Disneyland gets new Monorail Trains!!!! First in 20 years!!!

I'm not sure about Disneyland... But all the architecture around the monorail track outside the Magic Kingdom is very Victorian and gives off a feel dating back to the 1920’s. Everything matches very nicely in my opinion right now; and I think colors and architectural design are going to...

Disneyland gets new Monorail Trains!!!! First in 20 years!!!

I hope WDW never gets those monorail cars. I don't like the retro 1960's future look they have to them. I'm also not really fond of the color scheme. I definitely think they should stick to the monorail design they have been using for decades now.

    Death on EE

The press definitely doesn't seem to be going overboard with this story. Usually they'd make it their "Major News Story," create a 10 minute long clip showcasing it, then announce it another good 10 time throughout their hour and a half long newscast. This seemed to be more of a...

THE HOBBIT IS COMING!!!!! WDW better get their act together and bid on Tolkien.

There's something about the "TLOR" franchise that I don't think meshes well with Disney and/or WDW. I go to WDW to see Disney characters, not characters from other studio franchises.

    TGIF at WDW

Literally some of my favorite WDW memories of my life stem off from all those 90's sitcoms that featured its characters go on vacation in WDW. I was only around 6-10 when all of those episodes premiered and I remembered wanting to go to WDW so badly after watching each and every one of those...

Cinderella Castle light show - photos and lots of details

Are you being serious? We can't be looking at the same castle because I think the lights look perfect. There's no doubt that everybody visiting WDW this Christmas season will love what the Christmas lights add to the castle; it will definitely become a staple in WDW's holiday traditions for...

    Christmas Castle lights

I have to admit that I was underwhelmed when I saw the first picture of the castle in this thread that showed the lights only in their "testing" phase. But this picture makes up for it. The lights look amazing and they're everything I thought they'd look like in reality judging from what...

    Segways spark suit vs. Disney

Yes, but you are not guaranteed to always have one available to you. On more than one occasion, people in my party who needed motorized scooters to get around the parks were denied one because they didn't have any left. Get to the parks early if you really need one because other wise, you're...

Universal Creative VP Taking Over WDI Development

I'm a 19 year old who has a part-time job right now and I definitely do not have "tons of expendable money" to spend on going to Disney. I have some "expendable money" when it comes to spending all my money on fast food for meals, buying certain clothes or sneakers, going to the movies on the...

Don't be surprised to find a Troy, Hannah Montana, etc. at your door on the 31st

I'm happy that Disney Channel has become so successful over the past few years. Disney Channel has come a long way from being a premium paid for cable channel that only your "rich" neighbors had access to. It has grown to become one of the most watched cable television channels on TV right...

Universal Creative VP Taking Over WDI Development

I had no idea that so many people wouldn't get what I was trying to say in my original post because you still don't get it... I am definitely not saying that only "old school" Disney attractions attract a lot of people nor am I saying that thrill rides in general only cater to a certain type...

Universal Creative VP Taking Over WDI Development

Did you read the entire thread or did you just post this post for the sake of being redundant? It's already been stated over and over that "Disney thrill rides" like Test Track and Mission: Space are quite different than the "Bad A$$" thrills you'll find at Cedar Point or Six Flags. "Disney"...

Universal Creative VP Taking Over WDI Development

The post I quoted talked about building more "Bad A$$" thrill rides in WDW, so I figured people would understand what I was trying to say... I didn't realize it would cause this much confusion:shrug: But I'm actually in the minority who wouldn't really mind if Disney built "Bad A$$" thrill...

Universal Creative VP Taking Over WDI Development

What does Disney not being able to "operate a theme park year round" and "labor not existing" have to do with you proving your Cedar Point summer attendance figure claims which you already stated that you don't have?... Cedar Point and one single Six Flags park being moderately...

Universal Creative VP Taking Over WDI Development

You just said in an earlier post that you don't have the attendance figures for Cedar Point... (And because a month to month analysis of WDW's attendance is not available to the public, you can't really make claims like that) But that's really all irrelevant... The fact of the matter...

Universal Creative VP Taking Over WDI Development

You're right, I don't have the time all day to look up facts on Cedar Point's summer attendance nor do I really care. But I do know what parks make the top visited theme parks list each year and Cedar Point is not in the top 10. (There's no need to get all defensive because I'm not saying...

Universal Creative VP Taking Over WDI Development

A coaster like Expedition Everest and the coasters you'll find at IOA are completely different. It's the difference between telling a story and incorporating a lot of detailed theming, compared with just metal and steel, fast speed, and a lot of loops. There's a big difference between a "Bad...
