    Ah, Disney is the 90s........

Another person who has no idea how the adjusted for inflation list works. The adjusted for inflation gross in that 2nd link includes all the tickets Snow White sold in all of its many, many re-releases. Snow White only sold aprox. 36.96 million tickets Worldwide in its original...

    Ah, Disney is the 90s........

Please check your facts before posting... That list is incorrect. http://disney.go.com/vault/archives/movies/snow/snow.html The original worldwide gross was $8.5 million :lookaroun (Snow White's original gross is not the only movie that is incorrect in the link you posted above)

    Ah, Disney is the 90s........

The problem is that you are teaching to the wrong person. I am fully aware of the economy works, but it's clearly obvious that you have no idea how the adjusted for inflation box-office list works. It is ridiculously stupid to suggest a movie that was re-released many, many times...

    Ah, Disney is the 90s........

Worldwide gross, USA gross, it doesn't matter. Money is money to Disney no matter where it comes from. The fact still remains that The Lion King is Disney's highest grossing 2D animated film of all-time. The Lion King made more money than Snow White, end of story. Why can't you just...

    Ah, Disney is the 90s........

I've got a fact that will hopefully shut you up right away... The Lion King's Worldwide gross of $783,841,776 just beats Snow White's adjusted gross of $771,720,000. No doubt Snow White was a big hit overseas but because the adjusted for inflation list only works for the USA grosses and...

    Ah, Disney is the 90s........

Any expansion The Lion King may have received in 1994 still counts and is still considered as one release.

    Ah, Disney is the 90s........

Time, economy, population, alternative entertainment, home video, internet downloads, etc... All those variable are not accounted for when creating the adjusted for inflation list. Snow White definitely has a huge advantage over The Lion King when it comes to time and re-releases...

    Ah, Disney is the 90s........

Please check your facts before posting. The Lion King never received a re-release in the Christmas of 1994. As proven here: http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=weekend&id=lionking.htm The Lion King stayed in theaters from June of 1994 to February of 1995 during its initial...

    Ah, Disney is the 90s........

Get over yourself. It's obvious the only true problem you have with The Lion King is nothing more than a personal problem that's not rooted in fact. If you don't like the movie for your own personal reasons and think that it's overrated then that's your problem... But don't try and pass...

    Ah, Disney is the 90s........

The Lion King was re-released only once into IMAX theaters back in 2002 and only added around $15 million to its total life-time box-office gross. Hardly the same comparison with the many, many Snow White re-releases. Nearly all of the Disney movies re-released post 1990 have not received...

    Ah, Disney is the 90s........

Snow White's adjusted gross also includes many, many of its re-release ticket sales. The Lion King is still Disney's most successful 2D animated film as far as actual dollars are concerned.

    Ah, Disney is the 90s........

These 2 comments contradict themselves. What do the movies that followed The Lion King have to do with The Lion King movie itself? The movies that followed The Lion King marked the decline in Disney animation, not The Lion King itself... It appears that Roger Ebert must have been...

    Ah, Disney is the 90s........

Wow it was really hard to get through this post it was so filled with false information and ignorance.:brick: Untrue... The Lion King is one of the most critically acclaimed animated movies of all-time. It won numerous awards including 2 Academy Awards and a Golden Globe. I can assure...

Walt Disney World Park Attendance Numbers

Disney's domestic theme park attendance numbers are down thanks to Disneyland. According to Disney's 4th quarter report that just came out, both attendance and guest spending at WDW is up, but the same could not be said for Disneyland.

Disney in more trouble than it seems??

WDW is doing just fine according to Disney's 4th quarter earning report. Attendance and guest spending are both up for now... WDW could see a decrease in 2009, but I wouldn't worry about a company that makes billions of dollars in profit every year.

From the Press Event - New celebration to be called "What Will You Celebrate?"

Hey, some people actually really liked that castle cake. I'd take that cake than that big mirror Disney stuck right in the middle of the castle for HCoE.

    Dubailand vs WDW

It's so ironic when a country hates the United States, but loves our products. It appears that just about everything inside Dubailand will be American.

This could be bad for Disney folks

Opening up a plain thrill coaster that only appeals to a limited demographic is never a good way to get people through the gates. It'll probably have a limited (if any) effect on attendance.
