News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

If corporations have the same rights I do, and are punished for exercising those rights, then I too can expect to be punished when I exercise those same rights. It’s called “precedent.” Until that changes, the States infringement on Disneys rights is a canary in the coal mine for my rights as a...

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

Exactly. And I can’t help but see the irony in the source of that case and the lines on which it was ruled in relation to how Disney was subsequently treated in voicing free speech.

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

That mom and pop shop, if incorporated, has the same representation and rights as a massive corporation such as Disney. If you want to cherry pick who has rights and who doesn’t, then your argument holds no ground. Ironically enough, that’s the whole reason this mess got started. Disney spoke...

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

It doesn’t matter how or if this impacts the guest experience. What it does impact is a person’s ability to operate as a company as they previously had for so long. It impacts the ability for that person to speak their beliefs without retribution as is afforded them in our constitution.

News Disney World Cast Member unions to begin week of negotiations for wage increases, healthcare costs and more

Outsourcing jobs to technology will have the same consequences as outsourcing jobs offshore. Short term solution for the bottom line, long term pain for society. Take a drive through the rust belt if you need visual evidence of that pain. To me this isn’t a question of the merits of paying...

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

Got to ride today. Pros: Really enjoyed the riding position much more than I thought I would. My body knew a launch was coming but wasn’t ready for being launched in that particular position. Naturally it was the most thrilling portion of the ride. Lockers were good, although the darkness in...

DHS Toy Story Land opening day reports (June 30 2018)

Based on my experience at the soft open, when we got to a certain point in the line before the loading station, a Cast Member broke the line in two: to the left went all the people from a party with an EVEN number of guests, to the right went all the people in parties with an ODD number of...

DHS Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

I took this picture at 6:04pm yesterday after exiting Toy Story Land. I had a feeling the sign wasn’t going to last come today, so I wanted a picture for nostalgia reasons. I would assume it was removed after park close.

DHS Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

It should. Anybody with an Annual Pass who's done all those rides will be chasing the new white whale on property.

DHS Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Agreed. I watched it cycle and decided it wasn’t worth waiting in the rain for. I waited 20 minutes for SDD. Line is physically significantly longer now. However little to no FP going in today (don’t know how people are getting the paper cards) so that’s working to your advantage if anybody is...

DAK Avatar Flight of Passage reviews, comments and questions

Late to the party, but after not receiving the AP preview notifications and having zero luck for fastpasses since Pandora opened, I finally took advantage of the lack of crowds yesterday (pre-Irma) to ride FoP and NRJ. Note that I avoided all discussion on this topic, all pictures, all previews...

Paint the night is not moving to Disney World. Stop bumping this.

I'm glad I got to experience it at all. The conclusion of the Disneyland Forever fireworks was inevitable, however I was hoping they'd just slightly modify the show to remove references to the 60th. Fantastic show. I was hoping the PtN parade would be coming to WDW, but it sounds like it's not...

Cuts coming to every area of parks and resorts - thanks to Shanghai and Paris

You were on Main Street for a full hour and twenty minutes after park closing.....you need to find yourself a girl mate. Park closes at 9, not 9 plus two hours for pictures. Unless you're stuck in a line somewhere, courtesy dictates you head for the exits.

    Filthy ride vehicles...

Glad I'm not the only one who has noticed these things.... I went with my significant other on my birthday to the MK a couple weeks ago. The queue of Space Mountain was absolutely deplorable, as were the ride vehicles themselves. I've never seen the place treated so poorly, or the lack of...

Premium Parking coming to Walt Disney World's parking lots?

I don't think anybody disagrees that the process of getting from the MK back to the TTC is a nightmare. I, like many locals, don't go the MK as much now, if at all, because of it. Getting to the park is easy, it usually takes me under 20 minutes from car to front gate. But the way back is always...

    News New security measures

All I can say is you can trust me on this one. In the best interest of having an intelligent discussion, I'm going to ignore the part where you imply that I'm cowering wimp. Just remember that some people make a career out of security, and no I'm not talking about the rent-a-cop kind of...

    News New security measures

Your last paragraph is exactly what I'm championing. Im not saying I like it, Im not saying I agree with it, I'm just stepping out of my Disney fanboi shoes and into the shoes of the people running security at Disney. Based on everything I've seen since my numerous trips to the parks, what you...

    News New security measures

Yes, and one person's turning off the Christmas lights is another's not going to Disney. Yes bad things happen, but they have a higher chance of happening in certain places. Disney is a high value target, anybody with any sense knows this. The metal detectors help Disney retain those guests who...
