I can understand them holding back until it is announced for Shanghai, but would it have to wait until Shanghai was open to be built here?

I think it would a great D23 experience. You would start the bulldozer at the entrance at Backlot Tour bulldoze it and then bulldoze LMA. It would be a "once in a lifetime experience." :lol:
The Pixar expansion is supposed to be a gradual expansion anyways. Monsters would be first and then other stuff would come later. Unfortunately because BLT is such a people eater they aren't going to get rid of it until they have to.
