You're not a 'Disney World Veteran' until you've done the following...........

    1) chosen to participate in a live show 2) been the only family on a Disney bus 3) first in line at the touch pads (entrance) 4) see an attraction with all the lights on (got stopped on Test Track and they turned all the lights on) 5) last ride of the night on the monorail 6) go to the parks...

    Skyliner to Cape May

Disney runs busses starting at 6 am to help get guests to those early morning breakfast reservations. Ask at your hotel or ask a bus driver.

Waited for bus in rain for 45 min before reaching covered area…

That stinks. I would talk to the front desk at your hotel and let them know (calmly) what you went through. We were in Epcot a few years ago and we needed to take the monorail back to the Poly. The monorail had been down earlier and I asked cast members in World Showcase if the monorail was...

    Need advice

One year my two parents surprised us at WDW. We had reservations for 5 at Chef Mickey's for dinner. When we got there, we asked nicely if we could add my parents and they were accommodating.

    Car Service recommendations?

We used Tiffany Towncar in Dec for the first time. They allow a free stop at the Publix grocery store as well. Plan on using them again.

Understanding Why Disney's Magical Express Is Ending

Disney had Magical Express for Disneyland which they charged for but did away with a few years ago. Also, a good number of the drivers for WDW Magical Express were Mears drivers.

    DHS touring plan for DHS

I would recommend rope dropping Slinky Dog first and then go to millennium falcon. Be sure to get your boarding pass for RotR which you can do at 7 am while in your hotel room. I would do the train later in the day or before close.

Masks and Social Distancing Go Away in WDW

You are only factoring in adults with your argument, what about kids? Studies just got underway with kids, this will take at least 6 months until FDA approval. It is unlikely all kids will be eligible for vaccination especially elem school aged kids until end of the year at best. I hope it...

Masks and Social Distancing Go Away in WDW

WDW has already announced mask wearing will be required through the end of 2021 (though they may extend it later).

what a regular goer needs to know

I was there in Dec. Pre-shows are gone (to help with social distancing). Lines look very long but are shorter than they appear. Live shows are not being done (Festival of the Lion King, Nemo, Indy Jones, Beauty and the Beast, Mermaid are examples) though Frozen at HS is. Queues are...

Advice Needed for June 2021 Trip

You can request a microwave for your room, staff will bring it to the room if any are available. They should ask for the microwave when they arrive at the resort that way they will have it for their entire stay. Our family eats at Mama Melrose every year. My kids are picky eaters and they...

How early have you checked in?

We were there in December. Room at GF was ready by 11:15-11:30 am. There is a Publix not that far away just outside of WDW. You could always bring a small cooler to put food in.

    Help me decide

Of the three you mentioned, I only stayed at the Beach and Yacht. They are basically one big hotel since they are connected. Good places to eat. Great location, can walk to Epcot through International Gateway (5-10 minutes) and is only a two stop boat trip to HS. My teenage kids actually...

Most Efficient Method to Arrive at Parks for Opening

I just got back today from The World (was there since 12/11/20). I found the bus system very reliable. Buses were at the hotel stop 60-75 minutes before park opening consistently (for Epcot, AK, and HS). Stayed at GF so used the monorail for MK. We were first in line at one of the touch...

What time does monorail start before Magic Kingdom opens?

Not sure about TTC but we are at the World currently and staying at Grand Floridian. We were able to get on the monorail starting at 7 am when MK opened at 8 am

NEW VACCINE FROM MODERNA READY IN FIRST WEEK OF DECEMBER OR SOONER!!

Don't forget, people need to get the vaccine. If only 40-50% of people get the vaccine, that is too low. I saw a recent survey that only 58% of Americans said they would get the vaccine. You need to have at least 70% of people to get it in order to protect our communities (herd immunity) but...

    Pfizer Vaccine News

Pfizer, who is making one of the vaccines, took no money from the American government I suspect in order for their vaccine not to be "political." The more people who get the vaccine, the sooner we can get back to normal because what we are doing now is not working.

    Resorts Deluxe

I don't think you can go wrong with staying at any of the deluxe resorts as long as it fits your budget. We have stayed at both Boardwalk (twice) and Yacht Club (three times). My wife and three teens favorite resort is Yacht. Boardwalk: reminds me of the Jersey Shore growing up. Very good...
