Mission Space chopping block speculation? Do we trust this source?

If they're not going to tear out Imagination and replace it, why would they touch this? That being said, I can certainly see them closing it or turning into a seasonal attraction. I have to imagine that the attendance it receives doesn't really justify the operating costs. While the same might...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

I believe they have a designated meeting area, but otherwise Universal has more roaming characters than not. I also see a lot of spontaneous entertainment as well. Last year, next to all of the construction where they're building Villain-Con, there was entertainment out in the street pretending...

DHS Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

I like the idea, but judging from the pics I wouldn't want them to clone it. I would like more actual theming inside.

DHS Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

I suppose not, but the restaurant is a step in the right direction. Hopefully in the future, they'll continue with more buildings in the area for some more retail and indoor meet and greet space. It would go a long way to allowing this land to feel less thrown together.

If Disney has a "Mount Rushmore" who is on it?

Are we limiting to two? I figured this was Rushmore-esque but with the liberty to put a few more heads on there.

If Disney has a "Mount Rushmore" who is on it?

I'm not sure why no one has mentioned Joe Rohde yet, but I think he's just as important as the Imagineers that came before him. He arguably lead the development of the best "themed" park in the U.S. with Animal Kingdom. In addition to Eisner, Wells and Katzenberg should easily be on there as well.

News Disney to develop residential communities with new 'Storyliving by Disney' business

That was the impression I got. I think that this was just a quick cash making scheme to slap the Disney name onto a rather generic development. At least Celebration had interesting ideas behind it even if it didn't work out and Disney couldn't continue to commit.

DHS Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Having been on both, if SF managed to actually upkeep their Justice League rides, I think I would actually prefer them over Webslingers. Webslingers is actually experiencing the same upkeep issues though. When I go to California every few months, I notice that the ride continues to become less...

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

I'm all for representation and fighting racism, but this was definitely not a racist choice. It's as simple as mainland Chinese audiences haven't been exposed to the outside world for very long and don't have many similar experiences to relate to. Many Americans in the 1970s who should not have...

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

Without replying to anyone specifically, I had heard (not sure where, maybe these boards?) that the exterior part of the ride was intentionally done to show Chinese audiences that this was a rollercoaster. I know that Magic Kingdom's Space Mountain is the single most responsible attraction for...

Harmonious: Credit Where Credit is Due

I've seen it twice and I can't say that it's impressive in any respect. "Pretty" perhaps, but I couldn't find anything interesting or compelling about it. I think that everyone is giving it too much credit. It's just a bunch of songs slapped together with no meaning behind them outside of the...

Whats the most recent bad majorish ride Disney has built?

I feel the same way but felt completely different about the one in Disneyland. The differences are subtle but fix so many of the issues that the HWS version has. The rooms are built better, making them feel much less like traveling through an empty warehouse. There are additional details to...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

Those were my guesses when I first saw it. The quick service is rumored to include some sort of "storytelling" tree in some form, so the name makes sense. Dark Universe seems like a bit of an odd choice if it is the name for the land, but might make a lot more sense in context.

How will Universal's Epic Universe effect Disney?

It seems I hit a nerve. This doesn't seem like a thread that you belong in.

How will Universal's Epic Universe effect Disney?

I love how someone who has absolutely no pulse on the industry and has a history of making the absolutely worst remarks in this thread thinks they can come in and pretend that they know better. Is this enough emojis?

How will Universal's Epic Universe effect Disney?

Essentially, Disney will be caught off guard because they take their park crowds for granted. I don't think they'll lose enough attendance to make their parks unprofitable by any means, but they'll see enough off a loss to realize that they can't take the income for granted which has so long...

How will Universal's Epic Universe effect Disney?

It think that they intend to rent out individual lands for private events after the park closes. The setup of the park allows them to do this more easily and probably host numerous private events per night.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

That's what seems redeeming about this. I was generally uninterested in this coaster until I heard that. If the swing results in seeing a progressively transforming Wolf Man, I'll be quite happy. The park seems to have a lot of attractions I felt "meh" about at first, but the more details are...

    The Music of the Rides

The Epcot entrance loop was playing the Ellen's theme until it most recently changed (2020 or 2021 I think?). It also included Honey I Shrunk the Audience long after it was gone. Epcot was the exception though. To my knowledge, the Magic Kingdom entrance only plays songs from the park...

How will Universal's Epic Universe effect Disney?

Yeah, but now Universal has Beijing which could bring in huge numbers once China resumes some form of normality. They're not comparable to Merlin either, as their attendance numbers are so high just because they own so many parks. The only competition that really matters is in Hollywood and...
