To be perfectly honest for a few destinations I'll probably take a cab. To the MK, I'll do the bus, but to AKL for dinner at Jiko - cab. And to DTD if we want to go to a movie - cab.

The health club for the GF and the Poly is really pretty nice, as hotel gyms go, but I don't know if your friend jogs or runs - most resorts have nice trails they can recommend. My husband runs all over the place - he's a marathon runner. If you would like to know more about this let me know!

Bottom line - it's just waaaaaaay too expensive for the quality of food. I like going there when the weather is nice and we can sit outside and watch Main Street - that's fun. Otherwise I just feel like I'm getting ripped off.

I believe you that you've had good weather when you've been there but the average rainfall for August is about as high as it gets for Florida and it is technically hurricane season so there can be bad storms. None of this information stops me from going - you just kind of take your chances...
