I agree on Tokyo. I love that they’ve refused to budge on Splash Mountain and that they have maintained the best Tomorrowland set up in all of the parks.

Wow, thanks for these! The environment and atmosphere go a long way toward fleshing out this area of the park, easily transporting Guests to another time and place. I don’t think it’s fully understood what will be lost.

The first time I rode the DD flume, I enjoyed it so much I felt like I was cheating on Splash Mountain. Truly a great ride. Funny, too!

Compare that with Universal’s Epic, who’s designers used a portal system to separate unconnected lands and IPs. Were all of the good Imagineers poached by Universal?

Not a clue, but that would suck if so. Their railroad is unique there, but also doesn’t encircle the park if I remember correctly.

Oh, I expected it to be this bad. Even before diving into the ridiculous backdrop/setting and awful storyline, the motives behind replacing it were wrong and borderline nefarious, the Imagineering team were spiteful and cocky and the IP they chose to replace it with deserved its own attraction...

Taking a second look at Tokyo, it seems as though they’ve done it right. They’ve managed to greatly expand their parks while destroying very little and preserving all of the classic attractions. Also, they didn’t cave on Splash. Kudos to OLC for being more Disney than Disney.

How so? They are tearing out ROA and TSI after paving over Epcot with mediocrity and gutting Splash Mountain. It’s extreme to wonder about them taking out other things?
