    Breakdown Voice

Tower: "Powering up Foxtrot Side-- Please stand clear of all AGVs, VVCs, Doors, and Show Equipment." (Get outta the way of anything that moves) "Initiating RRA" Not sure if I'm able to explain this one.

Beer bottles and gang fights not your thing?

Ding! Right on the money. As far as the comment about having the long walk from the garage, and the garage itself or having to go through Citywalk. What do you get when you pay for parking? At WDW, a nice uncovered parking spot where your car is affected by the elements and if it rains...

EpcotServo's Sep. 13th UNIVERSAL Update: Not Disney

Nah, those lights you're talkin about are motion sensored if someone wants to use that exit in our queue. That's an interesting area to be during operation. If you know who I am, next time you're there, I'll show ya if ya want.

EpcotServo's Sep. 13th UNIVERSAL Update: Not Disney

The only reason I have a hard time believing you is because if the first Imhotep and his alternate show, that's a pretty much given to close until one of the two are fixed. A thought just occured to me, though (literally, as I'm typing). So, maybe the alternate show was working. Maybe you...

EpcotServo's Sep. 13th UNIVERSAL Update: Not Disney

Alright, let's see if it'll let me post this time (stupid new distro of linux...). Anyways, @EpcotServo: I think I do have to agree with you about the strobe light vs. alternate show. I think we should make the distiction between B-Mode and alternate show. The yeti's still visible both...

EpcotServo's Sep. 13th UNIVERSAL Update: Not Disney

Well, if you come on by Mummy now, almost all of the effects have been working consistently for the past few months now. (exception: first Imhotep) RoTM B-Mode vs. Yeti B-Mode Imhotep operates 3 times more than the Yeti does and has twice as many movements, plus relies on a seperate effect (The...

    WDWMagic Secret Handshake?

In all sillyness, the secret code is "The giraffe flew over the teacups at midnight." Don't tell anyone...:lookaroun

    Alien Encounter and SpectroMagic Merchandise?

While working at Jungle Cruise, I saw a couple get off a boat. One of them had a Spectro jacket, the other had a Light Magic jacket. Being a little odd, I ended up talking to them a little bit. Both were part of the opening crew. A Spectro jacket would be awesome. I think I'd burn the Light...

    Are there policies for this?

I'm not sure about Disney, but another park I frequent has these rules: No line jumping. All members of the party have to enter the line at the same time (aka no saving spots) Tour groups have to have a tour guide at the beginning of the line. No more that one tour group in line at a time...

    More Entertainment Cutbacks

The parks are also heading into the slower season. Maybe it's a need for entertainment to shift budget around for the seasonal Halloween and Christmas entertainment. We just came out of the busy summer season where more entertainment options=more diversions=less people in line for...

Question about print at home tickets

Totally understandable. I realize the convenience of printing the tickets at home, but they are kinda cumbersome. Before you enter park, stop by the Guest Services Will Call Window and they should be able to help you out.

Question about print at home tickets

You can use the paper ticket itself to enter the park, however, if you're afraid of losing them or getting them wet you can stop by guest services once you're in the park and get them swapped out for the credit card sized tickets. It's all up to you!

    ToT Structure Question

They may have higher capacity... but we all know that capacity isn't everything. And we certainly have the better bellhops... no bias there :lookaroun

    Simpsons Ride

If I remember right (and I'm by no means a video person), the projection systems are entirely different. BttF used film and was billed in some circles as Omnimax. Simpsons is all digital projection and apparently uses some of the largest (if not the largest) video servers in the world...

    Tower Of Terror Soap Bars

They still have them. As you exit the attraction, past photos, and enter the gift shop, they're on the immediate left hand side (usually with the bells).

    July Trip report and observations

I'm glad you both had fun! I'll send ya a PM soon, but I've been watching re-runs all day long... stupid tour groups... There's a cure for jet lag, btw. Just stay!

    Universal version of WDWMagic??

I used to think that Walt Disney World was the best place on earth until I actually started learning about the history of USF and the development of IOA. Universal, IMO, has so much more theming compared to any of the Disney parks (minus certain areas). I found it harder to understand, at...

Hey Tom Morrow, are you still in the area? If so, wanna head over to the hotel and check it out? I'm kinda curious myself.
