Our Not-So-Scary Disney World Adventure Trip Report!! (Oct./Nov. '12)

Epcot is the best place to take couple pics, IMO. So is Maelstrom a *fast* boat ride? I thought it was more like Gran Fiesta, only about Norway, LOL?

Our Not-So-Scary Disney World Adventure Trip Report!! (Oct./Nov. '12)

I just found this report -- love it! You guys really went at a great time. That's the first pic I've seen of the Dumbo photo op, cute! I just read another TR that said the Beast castle perspective appears odd in person, but it did look cool in your pics.

Love your pics with Bert & Mary! The carousel made a fantastic backdrop.

    My very first PTR

Your daughter is gorgeous! What a great birthday trip! My son (who was almost 4 when we went last May) really enjoyed the coconut races at 'Ohana (they use little brooms to race coconuts across the room). Hope she has fun!

Disney Magic! I've found this to be true. Some people swear by the squeaky wheel, but I've found that honey does attract the bees (and the upgrades and kind service)! So glad this worked in such an exciting way for you guys.

I was thinking about that after we talked about the 10 year old adult thing, how expensive it must be for a family of 4+ to stay on property. And pfft to playing vacation...I do it all the time! I've planned out our vacations through 2016! Winter 2013: Disney Christmas; Summer 2014 Machu...

Christmas, New Year's and a birthday = 10 Days of Magic

Yes! That's what I've run across. And while those TRs are informative and seasonal, getting to read about crowd levels on the holidays and what they're like at different parks on the days *around* Christmas really helped!

True story: We had done a mid-day clothes change before that was taken, and since it was the only pic of the 2 of us taken that day, I honestly didn't realize that we were dressed like 2 scoops of sherbet until my PhotoPass pics came in.

This, honestly, is why I'm a fan of the Dining Plan. I have read every pro and con, and with 3 of us (one of us still qualifying as a child for the next 4 years) it works out for us to do the DDP for event dining & character meals, because I'm one of the "if I pay for it in advance, I don't...

There was one day in May we did Rope Drop and still got the castle pic without the crowds. We didn't even realize it was a big deal at the time, haha. I thought the CP was beautiful! If I hadn't felt impatient to get back to my dessert while instead helping Jonah feign interest in Tigger, I...

We're both here!!! I totally forgot to mention that I was doing Universal for a couple of days, too. I'm booking that next month. They had a package with La Quinta (that's Spanish for "Next to Denny's!" -- Eddie has been telling that joke for 20+ years). Hopefully it's still available, because...

Yes, Oklahoma is similar (for history) or at least it was when I was in HS 20 years ago!

It's in Educational Leadership. His BA is in Spanish and his MA is in Education. He got into college admin and decided to go for his doctorate. Good luck with your program!! Are you teaching now or looking to teach? I am happy with undergrad (until I can no longer beat him at Jeopardy!, hah).

Thanks!!! By the time we get to HS in Dec, we should be able to FastPass on our app (I think they're testing that now?) for TSM and sprint to Training Academy instead. I figured it would be a fun way to intro my son to Star Wars. He's still really more into animated shows than live action. We're...

Thank you! Between his job, a family and a full course load, he's been worn thin. We'll have to go back in 2014 to celebrate his dissertation. ;) I knew I would find like-minded people on this forum! Eeyore is one of my faves, too.

Haha, thank you -- I was trying to introduce my personality but, to paraphrase Rex, didn't want to come off as annoying! Yep, he's the light of my life. Looks just like his Daddy, though, all that work and he only got my smile. ;) You know, the thing about the Character Meals (and I've only...

10 days of Magic, Mickey, and Memories

This was a fantastic TR! We have similar touring styles (although you have more Disney experience) and your pictures were amazing! As others said, the pic of Mary Poppins was artistic and everything Disney is about! Loved your dresses, too, especially the green stripe. I so enjoyed this report...
