Personally, I would hire a cab. We did transfer from Caribbean Beach Resort to All Star Movies a couple of years ago. All Star apparently delivered ALL of our luggage - 8 pieces - to the wrong room :eek:. It took them 2 days to finally track it down. Nightmare! We had nothing but literally...

We just got ours a couple of days ago & we are heading down Aug. 9. Friends of ours are joining us on the 20th & haven't gotten theirs yet. We also haven't gotten our packet yet either & we paid in full really early. Not too worried yet - will give it a couple more weeks.

In a word...awful!

Have you thought about borrowing a wheelchair from your local loan closet - usually from a senior center or volunteer ambulance. We did that for my dad & it worked out great. They had no problem with us "flying" it to Disney World - and even commented on how much they loved the Disney stickers...

For me, it's the minute I wake up the morning of our flight knowing it will only be a few hours before we land in Orlando & then through the terminal to Magical Express! :sohappy:

I totally understand that these are hard reservations to obtain & plans have been been made for quite some time but let's face it, there is a huge difference between La Nouba or a MNNSHP and a dinner or 2. I still believe all efforts should be made to get her added to the reservation, but...

I hope I don't get flamed for this but bottom line is what is more important - your mom or dining reservations? We would go up to the podium & try to get her in but if that didn't work out, we would just cancel our reservation & go to a cs - or another ts if possible. No way would we ever say...

We just booked for next Aug. 8 - Aug. 28 at Pop. Like others have said, this way we know we have a preferred room at Pop - we can always modify our ressies if any discounts or offers come up. Definitely, book now.

Just got back from a 16 day stay - whoo hoo! We ate at both Coral Reef & Marakesh. As always, Coral Reef was fantastic! However, this was our 1st & last time at Marakesh - silverware was dirty - not just some water marks but actual food stuck on them - ugh! On top of that, the wait staff...

Just returned from a 2 week stay & overheard a cm telling a guest that they could substitute a ts meal for a cs. We are going back in August with the dining plan & sometimes, especially with the heat, we just don't want another table service & would love to substitute with a counter service...

We were lucky enough to have been able to see it last year. Even though we were disappointed that Fantasmic was scrubbed due to torrential rains, we absolutely loved this show - we just sat there in the pouring rain with our ponchos on and had one of the best times of the entire trip! :ROFLOL:

We used to always stay at CBR but have now discovered Pop. The 2 bathrooms & 2 tv's far outweigh the one room at CBR - not to mention if someone wants to "rest" and everyone else wants to watch tv or play games, 2 rooms come in real handy! Don't forget the luxury of 2 bathrooms after swimming...

I, too, was looking for the online site but finally gave up. After I called to make my ressies, I asked the cast member if on line reservations are up and running yet. She acted surprised & just said there is no such thing and no plans in the works. Now I'm totally confused as it was all over...

Just ate there a week and 1/2 ago & at that time we could not make adr's. We went at lunch time & the 4 of us had no problem getting seated. But, lines looked long in the evening. Good luck - you'll love it - especially the meteor shower!

I, too, would love to get a Disney watch but I need it to be waterproof - something that I can wear swimming. So far I haven't had any luck. Do they exist? Where? Thanks. 6 days and counting - whoo hoo! :wave:

Never ate at the old Alfredo's but have eaten at Tutto Italia several times now & loved it! However, it is quite pricey - unless you are on the dining plan I might reconsider. Check out the menus - the penne caprese is fantastic but, as you can see, the cost is a bit ridiculous!

Just got back after 14 glorious days!!! Now have to wait another 119! :wave:

I always pack our own powdered detergent - premeasure in a snack-size ziplock bag along with dryer sheets. Works out perfectly - that way I don't have to worry about having enough change with me - the change machines don't always work in the laundry rooms.:mad: 17 days & counting!!:ROFLOL:
