Yeah, I would say about 20 min from Riverside and about 15 from French Quarter. I have stayed at Port Orleans about half of my overall 50 trips to Disney. It is a must. Very romantic!!

My husband proposed to me under the lighthouse at the Yacht & Beach Club resort! It was so romantic. We could see Illuminations off in the distance. We will be back for our one year anniversary in Dec. (a few mnths overdue but thats ok, our real anniversary is Oct.) Shelley :wave:

Sorry, in all the excitement I forgot to say why I would like to do this. My husband and I LOVE Haunted Mansion movie! This would be an amazing opportunity to see the set of one of our favorite movies. What a hauntingly good time. I have one request...can we have some cookies? :lol...

Pop Warner in Dec 5-11. I wouldn't go by Mouseplanet. I have found their info is very slow and some outdated. Check out www.allearsnet.com .They have a lot of info. Look under planning and then calender of events.

A Disney Visa is a great suggestion for someone who wants a package deal. Some of their package prices are awsome! I have not seen any room only discounts through Disney Visa. Maybe I am looking on the wrong place.

We will be "home" at the Boardwalk Dec. 11-17. We would go earlier but we want to avoid the Pop Warner thing. We have experienced this before and will NEVER EVER go during that time again!! No offence to anyone who has a child playing in the games, but the overall rudeness of most of the kids...

The discounts are great for some resorts and just ok for others. If you are looking to stay at the Contemp. you may want to look at a garden wing room. We have had annual passes for the past 7 yrs and have found that tower rooms are only reduced to the minimum (20 % or so). Poly usually gives...
