News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

Right, I'm aware. My point is that Disney themselves haven't disclosed anything and when officially announced attractions like the MK Theatre have already been cancelled, it's hard to be optimistic about yet-to-be revealed additions happening.

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

As far as I'm aware, none of that has actually been announced or confirmed though, right?

Which nighttime shows/parade would that be?

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

The closer we get to the 50th, the more I have to agree; I think we already know everything we're getting. At most, we should just hope nothing else gets cut (MK Theatre), as disappointing as that is.

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

Yes. Still just as disappointing every time though. (Especially when the theatre was the project I was looking forward to the most)

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

So it's not looking likely that anything will be built instead of the theatre, is it?

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

Tron won't get people into EPCOT the way GOTG will; I can imagine that was a big deciding factor.

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

Just seems unnecessary to have a vehicle that can be programmed to have the riders face specific directions if they're not going to actually have the audience look at anything.

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

Same. There are so many possibilities and options that can be explored, while still keeping the spirit of both GOTG and EPCOT alive and prevalent. It just seems silly to write it off as a failure when construction just started.

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

I like to imagine that since Guardians is so self-referential already, that Peter Quill might make a comment about how EPCOT is for learning, or how that's not as prevalent since he last visited, and take it upon himself to teach the audience as we join him on the journey.

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

Did the length of the ride get announced and I wasn't paying attention? As far as I'm aware the only thing we know about it is that it's Guardians of the Galaxy, maybe the ride system, and that it'll have scenes in it. Everyone just seems to have this negative opinion when for all we know, it...

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

To be fair, we don't know that the ride won't still be about energy. I just think it's presumptuous to judge it before we know anything about it.

News Pirates of the Caribbean closing for refurbishment in February for new auction scene

I can agree, but as I've said earlier in the thread, if you want to showcase that women are just as capable as men, having the readhead play "mother" and dumbing down the men around them isn't how you do it. People who ride this will still see a bunch of male pirates having fun, and the lone...

News Pirates of the Caribbean closing for refurbishment in February for new auction scene

While the scene may pacify those who thought it was demeaning to women, the new scene isn't exactly "yay feminism" either. Having the sole female pirate be the only one "sober" and essentially playing "mother" to the pirates isn't feminism. Having her be just as rowdy and bawdy as the men...

EPCOT Announced: Mary Poppins Attraction in UK Pavilion

The original Tony Baxter proposal is an excellent starting point for Imagineering. It was ambitious, even for its time, but something akin to that would be nice. Making you an active participant in the story, instead of just a passive observer (Mermaid) would be a jolly good time.

EPCOT Announced: Mary Poppins Attraction in UK Pavilion

Couldn't agree more, if I wanted to see the movie, I'd just watch the movie.

EPCOT Announced: Mary Poppins Attraction in UK Pavilion

Which is why I would lovingly welcome a Mary Poppins themed omnimover.
