    Monorail Expansion...maybe..

:sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: Bravo! Bravo! Bravissimo! In ten years we'll be asking why didn't they do the monorail expansion in 2006 or 2007? By the way it doesn't all have to be started and completed in a year. It could be completed in phases.

    Monorail Expansion...maybe..

    Really? Refer to post above.

    Monorail Expansion...maybe..

And exactly how cheap and practical will that be? Having bus only roads running all over the place?

    Monorail Expansion...maybe..

Then what is the right thing to do? Light rail. Let's see the disaster of this idea or any land based rail idea: A land based rail will have to either make stops at certain crossings or force other traffic to stop at its crossings (more likely). This will add more congestion to the roads...

    Monorail Expansion...maybe..

This just illustrates my point of overexaggeration on numbers. Seattle's costs are only $176,000,000 for 22 four-car trains not $408,000,000 million. I know that the estimate was for 24 trains and I believe that they have more than four cars, but the above was also in 2002 figures unlike...

    Monorail Expansion...maybe..

More proof that you don't have the facts! Thanks for finally proving that you don't have the facts. Roads, like the rest of WDW, are not controlled by the state in any way, shape, or form. Hence, the different road signs and the like that you see around the property. You simply don't have...

    WOL News?

It's only being refurbished. With Mission Space and Soarin, I just don't see anything that major for Wonders of Life for a couple of years. Hopefully, it will reopen and stay open. I say enough of this seasonal crap already!

    Monorail Expansion...maybe..

Here's the perfect example of how the "fact givers" have way, way, way over blown the costs of monorail expansion at WDW. http://www.elevated.org/project/reports/ Go under the section titled "Capital and Operating Cost Data" and you will see how a WDW monorail expansion costs would be...

    Monorail Expansion...maybe..

ONLY STRAIGHT??? How so??? I'd like to see what your definition of crooked would be? The Vegas monorail is the exact opposite of straight. You neglect to discuss the extremely high cost of easements and/or land purchases that Vegas had. (WDW will not have this) Building above an existing...

    Monorail Expansion...maybe..

Thank you for putting deep thought into how such an idea would be feasible and beneficial. As to the monorail not being a feasible means of transportation, then why did Vegas see the need and the benefit versus just adding more buses? And for that matter why are any subway, monorail, or other...

Tarzan Rocks leaving in September '05

I will miss this show. It had great energy. If the market has changed according the Sentinel article then why go with another kiddie oriented show rather than a rocking show that appeals to 13-35 year olds? Doesn't make sense. They need a thrilling exciting rocking show to replace it...

Disney has built last park in Central Florida

I believe that most of us agree that a 5th park in the near future isn't a good idea. But my problem is with the "clones" and "prudent" original attractions. I hope that this doesn't mean that we are heading back into the time where the parks aren't being well maintained again and safety and...

Favorite Country in World Showcase ?

This is a tough one, but if I went for overall experience: China, Mexico, France, Canada, Norway, Japan, USA, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Morocco. I have to judge by theming, music, culture, attraction, shopping, and restaurant. For me it has to be a total experience, not just one...

    Just a Head's Up....

First, CMs should be able to voice their opinions and I think that it is critical to a company like Disney that treats their "employees" and "customers" differently. If everyone kept their trap shut all the time, then who would question anything and how would we know what works and what doesn't...

Village Haus has burgers no more

If it adds to more of a selection, then I'm for it. If it's just part of moving things from one place to another, then I don't see the point.

    New construction at AK?

Actually, I think that this was the original Tree of Life planned for the park! It would still fit in with Dinorama though.
