    We've been back for...

8 days now and I'm already getting that itch. I splurged big time and bought the Cinderella Castle miniture and I'm looking at it as I type and it is just making me want to see the real thing. On the drive back we talked about making the Flower and Garden show next year. Our AP's are good till...

    Toy Story Mania!

We were just there. I'll echo the others. Get there at rope drop (they were letting people in at 8:45) get a fastpass and then get in the standby line. We did that on two different days and the standby line was under 20 minutes both times and was less than that in reality.

    Tablets in the parks...

Yeah, I've been many, many times and often will devote a day to photography and I take my DSLR and lenses. I want high quality photos and I'll take the time and equipment needed to get them. For general "snapshots" we use photopass. Sadly, I think Goofydad is on to something.

    A Magical Three-Generation Trip

Thanks for a great report. We just got back from our trip with four generations, including our 3 week old great granddaughter. It was a special trip for many reasons. Glad you had a great time, but then, how can you not have a great time at Disney?

Disney really knows how to suck us in eh?

We are all different but this is why we own timeshares, non DVC. We used 14 nights at ours and added a night for $184.00. Two bedrooms, full kitchen, laundry dining area. I love Photopass+. Our entire family was there with us including our first great granddaughter and we have a ton of pictures.

    Tablets in the parks...

why? On this last trip I saw at least 6 people taking photograhs using a tablet. Why would you lug one around when point and shoot cameras are so small? Heck, even my Nikon D40 is easier to deal with than my tablet.

    Giving up unusable fastpasses....do you?

We give and have received fastpasses. On this last trip we had fastpasses to Rockin roller Coaster that we were not going to use. My wife saw a couple wearing the bride and groom ears and she gave the passes to them.

We're back, worn out, broke and there is no food in the house...

Yes, we got the button from Guest Services. Each park has their own design. I got 1 from EPCOT and 1 from AK. I got lots and lot of birthday wishes and free desserts. Later, my wife and I got Anniversary buttons as that is coming up. I happened to see a guy wearing one while in the Emporium and...

AK walk from bus stop to gate - in need of moving walkway?

Not sure what your idea of "directly in front" is but as one who enjoys the ferry ride from the TTC to MK I can attest that it is one long walk from the ferry landing to the bag check then to the turnstiles. And, that walk from the ferry landing at the TTC to the handicapped parking is a killer.

AK walk from bus stop to gate - in need of moving walkway?

I'd rather see them put in a lake and run a ferry back and forth. Keeping with the theme of the park there could be crocodiles and hippo's in the lake. Humphery Bogart could captian the boat and Katherine Hepburn could serve drinks.

Like Competition- Why WDW is better than Universal!!!

Never been to Universal so I can't really judge. However, Mickey Mouse has been around since 1928 and Harry Potter since 1997. Other factors enter into this, to be sure, but the Disney mark has a proven staying power. So, why do I not go to Universal? The same reason I always order the...

We're back, worn out, broke and there is no food in the house...

but we had a GREAT time and I met my great grand daughter for the first time. :) The parks were crowded but I've seen them worse. It was HOT but bearable. We made rope drop pretty much everyday and made good use of fast passes. The strict deadline did not interfere with anything. The only ADR's...

    Arrived Saturday August 4

Last day at the parks before packing-up to head home. Went to the Magic Kingdom and finally had a Casey's hot dog. I had a Chicago dog and Dorothy had a chili cheese dog. Both were okay. We did Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain and Pirates of the Caribean. We were in line for a second run at...

    What is your favorite Queue?

Especially now that the screens no longer react to the arm waving. I watched one guy yesterday wave at every screen! :p I bet he is still there trying to figure out why they aren't waving back.

    Arrived Saturday August 4

We got there right at noon and we waited maybe 30 minutes. I walked through the bar and we sat out front and and walked around the Fish & Chips stand and the line for the restaurant. Sorry we missed each other.

    Arrived Saturday August 4

A great day at EPCOT yesterday. Got there at rope drop and went straight to 'soarin. Rode that then went to the American Experience for the show. Then to Great Britain to meet Crush Dude but we must have crossed signals and we missed each other. We had lunch at Mexico and then we went to Japan...
