    Too old for Disney?

Okay, if you're questioning whether you're to old at 36 then you are too old. I just turned 70 and I did it at Disney. Sure there were 13 other family members there (including our first great grandchild) but I, and my 64 yo wife had a ball. I've never gone solo but you'll find us on the tea...

Ice Cream/Drink Carts - More Cutbacks?

We were there 8/4 to 8/19 and it was HOT. I didn't notice a lack of carts. We got ice cream at carts in AK and EPCOT. We carry Brita bottles so had no need for water. Anyway, if there was a cut back in carts or cart hours I didn't notice it.

What part of an attraction would you pick to get stuck at?

Any of the "great view" spots. At the end of the climb on Everest, just before the drop on Splash or at the top of Tower with the doors open.

    2013 trip worth it?

We're going in 2013. Rumors have it that crowds will be lighter due to all the rumors.

    Great trip with sad ending

I'm really sorry. Losing something that evokes good memories can be quite painful. I'd call and be persistent about getting through to the shop. Good luck.

    Epcot

We always spend two days at EPCOT. One at Future World and one at World Showcase. It has become a very close second to the Magic Kingdom as our favorite park.

    Your Most Important Planning Trip?

Hmmm...we pretty much fly by the seat of our pants. We use Touring Plans crowd estimates to pick which park on which day but those plans can change. We have AP's so we can hop but do so rarely. We have had good luck with walking up, even to signature restaurants. We eat lunch late so that helps...

    April 2013...

Haven't made any additional plans yet. That sounds like a good option though. Last year we saw Lee Greenwood and the Boys. Great shows. Love Branson!

    April 2013...

Just booked a week at our timeshare for April next year. We plan to concentrate on the Flower & Garden Festival. Next up a week in Branson to see the Oak Ridge Boys in October. Is it next year yet???

    UGH!!

Buy the book and you get membership. As others have said, you're a Disney vet so I wouldn't get too worried. I use the crowd estimates as a guide but I try to be flexible. It can be difficult, at times, to tell the difference between a 4 and an 8 at times.

Magic Kingdom without Splash Mountain is not very magical!!

Maybe not but the 8 hours per month will.

    RIP Mr. George Eastman

Yeah, back in the day I shot 3 1/4 X 4 1/4 Ektachrome lantern slides. More than one pathologist told me the quality of that film was so high they could make a diagnosis from it. Not so from a 35mm.

    We've been back for...

Yeah, I hear you. There is only so much one can do to distract oneself. I used to do a lot of competitive shooting but age and health won't let me do that any longer. You can only reorganize your pin collection so often. I can recite the dialog to Lady & The Tramp, etc. by heart. I find myself...

Yes they have several seminars. The F&G festival is one of our favorites.

    We've been back for...

I tried pasting a link but it is too long. It is by Olszewski and you can find them in the Disney store. He has several depicting Main Street and they are incredible. Here is the castle.

    We've been back for...

Oh, we'll book a trip for sure. We have multiple timeshares so rooms are not an issue. I'm retired and my wife has generous vacation time. Just need to decide when to go.
