News Coronado Springs Expansion - Gran Destino Tower

Even with this new video, I'm sorry to complain, but one of the things that I liked so much about the Walt Disney World property was, aside from The Contemporary, it's lack of high rise hotels. The Wilderness Lodge is about as high as I like my hotels. There are dozens of 15 story towers...

    Food & Wine "Must-Try" Items.

Not sure if they're back every year, but several times in the past I've had the escargot tart thingy in France and it's a home run every time! Worth waiting in line for. Don't even think that they're snails - just eat em' up. They're delicious!

EPCOT Reflections of Earth confirmed to be replaced by Harmonious

Don't want to start a whole thing in this thread...but on a whole I prefer Wishes. I think the projection and fireworks in Happily Ever After are amazing and I love the inclusion of "forgotten classics" like the Hunchback and Hercules, but Wishes struck an emotional chord with us every time and...

News Artist Point to become Storybook Dining character experience

Had a huge birthday dinner there this July for my 50th. There were 23 of us dining. They set aside a section in the back of the restaurant. It's always been a favorite and this time was no different. The food was awesome. The service was incredible. I consider this a big loss. Had some excellent...

Beach & Yacht Club or Wilderness Lodge

Just a few considerations. Pool at Yacht and Beach is best anywhere - at any hotel not just Disney. Wilderness Lodge pool is a little small for the size of the resort. Wilderness Lodge theming and lobby are just extraordinary! Yacht is beautiful but Wilderness is a "Holy Crap" moment when you...

Yacht or Beach club... quick, Go!

Yacht Club all the way! Much more serene than the Beach Club.

Yacht or Beach club... quick, Go!

Stayed for 8 days last month. Saw one dog and it was a guide dog. The place is in no way over run with dogs. And my father has a terrible dog allergy and wasn't bothered at all in his room or elsewhere.

Tell me about the Yacht Club

Women don't quote Caddyshack. I'm not even sure they laugh at it either.

    Insane crowds, more space needed

What's truly remarkable to me is that the last two times I watched the fireworks at MK - just last week on July 26 and back in March - I did so from the bridge to Tomorowland and both times I was with maybe 2 dozen people - not hundreds and not packed in like sardines. I could see the...

Tell me about the Yacht Club

I have to say that I never considered us as exclusive or enjoying any air of exclusivity. That's exactly what we don't like when we go to dine at the Grand Floridian. My travel party consisting of Disney regulars all feel that way about the GF but never feel that way about the Yacht Club...

Tell me about the Yacht Club

Just returned from celebrating my 50th at The Yacht Club. There were 23 of us. This was our 4th stay. Yacht has become our favorite place to stay. It's beautiful. It's peaceful. There's a definite tranquility there that doesn't even exist next door at the Beach Club. We have never felt it to be...

    park hopping.......very misunderstood

Always love the park hopper because it leaves my options wide open. Can't imagine not getting a park hopper. Early morning at Magic Kingdom, midday break at the pool, then to Epcot for dinner and Illuminations...perfect day and only possible with a park hopper. Completely worth my money. It has...

    New view category at Poly

Never pay sticker price. Always wait for a sale or a code. Still expensive but it won't be $650!

Most memorable Magical Moment you ever had!

Because of Hurricane Charley cancellations we were able to score walk up reservations at Cinderellas. My daughter was 5 at the time. She was knee deep in every princess in the room and loving it. May Poppins came over - I'm quite sure she hadn't seen the film at this point - and my daughter...

    Room request YC

Wow! I did not realize that the construction was that extensive. We were there last August, same wing a few rooms down from giant balcony room. It's our favorite wing, along the quiet pool area. Very tranquil.

    Room request YC

We've stayed at Yacht many times, always in queen rooms, and we've always had showers with tubs.

    Room request YC

There is a 2nd floor garden view room overlooking the tennis courts that happens to be right above an entrance vestibule. Because of this, the balcony is tremendous! We were traveling with another family that got this room. Not exaggerating when I say the balcony is about half the size of the...

Parents night out! Where to dine?

Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge. A table by the window looking out onto the garden and stream. Boat or monorail over to Magic Kingdom from Poly and then a nice boat ride over to Wilderness. Take a nice evening stroll from Poly over to Citricos at Grand Floridian. Excellent food!!

    Is Park hopping exhausting?

Been park hopping with kids on every single trip we've taken, 14 years in a row starting with the kids at 4-years-old. Never regretted it. The whole trip is pretty exhausting regardless of park hopping. You can't beat the flexibility it gives you. That midday break is essential and then on to...
