    Save the Adventurers Club

hmm, it may be the restaurant/bar owned by "E Brands" that was written about in the Orlando Business Journal on June 26, 2008. Here is an excerpt from that article: "The firm in April also announced plans for a new 5,000-square-foot, two-story casual eatery in Downtown Disney featuring...

    Pleasure Island - Video Clip - 10/3/08

Last Friday evening, Oct 3, 2008, I went to the Downtown Disney West End Guest Relations booth to get a prorated refund for my PI annual pass. Afterwards, I took a stroll through PI between 8pm and 8:30pm and video recorded some of the changes that were made on the island...

    Pleasure Island no more.

It was nice to see Frankie and the West End Boys reunite and perform at the waterfront stage on the last day. I had never seen them before but had heard from long time regulars that they were good.

Free Citywalk AP for Pleasure Island AP holders

Can you still get a prorated refund on the PI annual pass and trade for a City Walk pass? Probably not, I think you have to turn in your PI annual pass card upon receiving the prorated refund at the guest relations booth.

    Pleasure Island's Last night

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Pleasure Island is not closing; it's the clubs that are closing within the Pleasure Island complex.

Downtown Disney Entertainment - Dominic Gaudious

I'd like to share a few video clips of Dominic Gaudious, one of the several musicians that will provide excellent free entertainment on Friday and Saturday evenings, between 7pm and 11pm, through the month of September. Dominic produces his own original music and excels as a guitarist and also...

Say goodbye to ALL the clubs at PI.

Remember, that you can get a prorated refund on your PI annual pass. Just go to the ticket window at the entrance to PI (near Raglan Road end of PI). Also, I think the closing of all the clubs on Sept 27th is just a management strategy to not show any favoritism to any one particular club. I...

Say goodbye to ALL the clubs at PI.

Well, I've been a regular PI club-goer for the past 4 years and spend an average of about $2500 each year. I have an annual pass to PI, so most of that money is for drinks and tips. PS: Never been drunk - I drink responsibly and always in control.

    Nightlife Post PI Closing?

I would say your best bet for nightlife comparable to PI would be City Walk, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Thet have a good band that plays on the outside Plaza Stage (similar to the old PI West End stage) every Friday and Saturday nights - it's free entertainment. Parking is free at...

Are video cameras allowed in the PI clubs?

Thanks for all your responses. Now, I feel somewhat re-assured that it's ok, but I definitely won't bring my tripod, and I will be kind of sneaky about it as opposed to being blatantly challenging in full view of security. So, expect to see some fairly good quality video in the near future.

Are video cameras allowed in the PI clubs?

Are video cameras allowed in the Pleasure Island clubs? I know from general observations that many PI club patrons take videos with there cell phones and no one seems to mind, so I'm guessing that maybe video cameras may be allowed as well. The main reason why I ask is because I would like...

Downtown Disney West Side - Video Follow-Up

Nightly, at least for Dominic, the musician who plays the guitar like Van Halen and also plays the Australian "didgeridoo". I assume the other musicians have a similar schedule.

Downtown Disney West Side - Video Follow-Up

I spoke with one musician and he told me it would only last through August 2008; I hope Disney changes their mind.

Downtown Disney West Side - Video Follow-Up

As a follow-up to my recent thread "Downtown Disney Improves - More Festive", I created a video clip showing what I described in that thread. The video clip was shot on Friday, June 20, 2008 between 8:30pm and 9:00pm. The video emphasizes the showing of various musicians along the thoroughfare...

Downtown Disney Improves - More Festive

I'm not sure about what's happening in the marketplace - I only spent time at Downtown Disney West Side and PI. Maybe someone else can comment on that area.

Downtown Disney Improves - More Festive

This past Friday and Saturday nights I strolled through the Downtown Disney area and found it to be rather festive. I really liked the idea of having a musician set-up about every half block or so. Kids and adults dancing, lots of lights, latin music blaring from Bongos, bluesy tunes from the H...
