Michael Colglazier named as new Vice President of Disney's Animal Kingdom

I don't think it is a promotion(maybe title wise) usually if they hold a job a couple of months and then get moved to another job quickly, there is something else going on. Especially if it is another job totally unrelated to your previous positions. I remember Michael from EPCOT in 1995, he...

Some new artwork from Dragon Tower in BK!

The original plan was for the dragon to breathe fire on the tracks in between trains, they didn't say how they were going to accomplish that. I think that would just caused many more problems also, but that was their original intent. The Imagineers had some great ideas for BK and then again...

What happened to the "Night Kingdom" Announcement/Idea??

Night Kingdom was real also, I have seen the blueprints for it. It just got cancelled because of money, but that happens to many projects. O'Sentinel - NextGen - 1/17/10

I don't think it will rely on being customized to know people's name, even though it could be used for that. I think it will be mainly to keep track of the numbers, how many people in the park at a certain time, people in each attraction, etc. They already do that but this will be more accurate...

    O'Sentinel - NextGen - 1/17/10

They are using RFID right now, the Kim Possible game is a good example of that. That blue plastic thing on your Kimmunicator is a RFID tag, it lets the game know if you are in the right location to trigger the next gag. Also, they are in the process of installing RFID tags in all of cast...

    The American Adventure Discussion

Not all the sets on Carriage #1 (War Wagon) are in order of the show. The submarine is actually ahead of the depression porch scene because when when the porch is up then submarine raises in position behind it. Demolition of Cantina begins Jan 4

An Explorer’s Notes: Magic Kingdom & MVMCP, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The burn off is always part of the show, but they may do later if they had problems during the show, if it didn't do a burn off or had ignition problems or sometimes they do for training new personnel also. The torches don't handle rain very well, after a rain there are many problems, but...

Lights of Winter not being displayed this year (2009)!?!

Absolutely not. But it also who you chose to believe? Management or CM's who actually work there. Management cares about numbers and budgets and MONEY. They don't really care about the technology, just as long as it works and doesn't cost that much money. Entertainment and Maintenance...

There is going to be photographers at the Epcot Tree today, they will be on a 12 foot ladder taking many photos, and they need extra assistance to make sure the tree stays on because of the problems they have been having lately with the lighting contactor (or it is obsolete technology also?)...
