    First Time not 100% Satisfied?

100 for a campsite??? You can stay at the Pop Century for less. That sounds like a ripoff to me. You say the price skyrocketed to 100 a night, what did they charge in the past?

    Notes from 3/20 - 3/22

After reading the latest responses from Figment76 and Meandmickey.... I CANT BELIEVE I DIDN'T THINK OF THAT!!! The only problem was that she was looking for a table for 7 and my table was for 3, so I guess it wouldn't have worked anyways. I'll keep that idea in mind for the future.

Disneytony, very sorry that I missed your message! I didn't log back on to this site again before my trip, and totally forgot. Hope you had a good time. I saw several Braves fans hanging around WDW over the weekend.

Did the Festival Center open this weekend?

I miss this pavillion so much. It was the type of place you could spend hours in without running out of things to do. I remember the old EPCOT Center days when Body Wars was the only "thrill ride" in the park, and I loved it as a kid. I also loved Cranium Command and those exercise bikes where...

    Which Attraction...

As soon as I get on my first ride of the trip, that's when it really clicks for me. I don't necessarily start my trip with any particular ride, but I don't feel like I'm really "there" until the first one starts. For example, on my trip last week, I started at MK. It was great to enter the...

    Notes from 3/20 - 3/22

I do remember at least one time when I saw the Lions active in the afternoon. Perhaps that's the pattern for them, but it might've been a coincidence. It seems like Lions sleep at least 20 hours out of the day (just like I would do if I didn't have a job :snore:).

Good point by bringing up the ascent portion. I agree they did a great job there. I especially like the Cave drawings scene where the drawings become animated and move around. Plus the Judi Dench narration is growing on me a bit. I didn't like it at all at first, but it's not so bad after all.

    Notes from 3/20 - 3/22

She must have been either A) So rich, that handing out $100 bills isn't a big deal, or B) she loves the San Angel Inn more than I can possibly comprehend.

That's True about the Lions. Even on our great AM Safari, the one Lion we saw was asleep. Every other animal was up and about, even a Cheetah.

    Notes from 3/20 - 3/22

I forgot to mention that I caught a few minutes of Davy Jones of the Monkees performing live at Epcot on Friday Evening. When I first heard him singing as I walked by the American Adventure, I assumed it was probably some lame cover band singing "Daydream Believer," but then I took a closer look...

    Notes from 3/20 - 3/22

***Edit*** The thread title was supposed to say 3/20 - 3/22. So in case you were wondering, No I didn't just spend 11 months at WDW. Just spent a few days at the World, so I thought I'd share some things with everyone. -I'm not a fan of the new (and only partially transparent) Mickey...

    Last minute tips

I always run to Nemo FIRST THING in the morning. It's been a flawless strategy in my recent trips. If you rush to Nemo when the gates open you will wait a maximum of 20 minutes (probably less but it depends on crowds). I must admit that in all my years of traveling to DL and WDW, I've never...

Just wondering about the wonders of life

It seems like such a waste to use that building as a corporate welcome center. I'm sure they will use the bad economy as an excuse to keep Wonders empty for at least a couple more years. So sad. And I'm glad you brought up the bikes. That was my favorite part of a day at Epcot as a young...

    Just a thought.

The Carthay Theatre isn't iconic enough to serve a centerpiece type role at DHS. It will play more of a supporting role at DCA, which makes more sense. Even after seeing that picture, I would never be able to pick the Carthay Theatre out of a classic theater lineup.

How far out do you book?

At times I have covered the entire spectrum. I've booked trips up to 10 months in advance, and I've booked a few recent trips about 2 weeks in advance. It's always great to be organized and plan way ahead, but sometimes it's great to be spontaneous.

Whats your Favorite Place to eat at EPCOT?

Why all the hate for the San Angel Inn? I've always had great meals there. Don't listen to the haters. Plus the atmosphere there is excellent if you get a table near the water. It's WDW's closest answer to the Blue Bayou in Disneyland. Le Cellier is the best, though.

What is your Favorite Past Attraction?

Does anyone else miss the Walter Cronkite version of SSE? Or is it just me? I always think of that as the original, because I was too young to remember the Vic Perrin narration. For me, the order of best to worst goes 1) Cronkite (perhaps just for the childhood memories), 2) Jeremey Irons, and...
