How many adult couples here have shared a room with another couple?

That would drive me crazy. I'd do alot of things to save money, but sharing a room with another couple is very low on my list! I almost had to do this in Vegas once, but we ended up getting a suite with a separating door and that was ok.

    wdw nov/ dec

When I was growing up, my family used to always take our yearly trip in Early December. The weather is best all year during this time by Florida standards, there's very little humidity, crowds aren't heavy, and the beautiful Christmas decorations are up. The holiday decorations make the world...

Anyone else who loves Adventureland most?

Adventureland at MK has so much potential since it really is HUGE compared to its Disneyland counterpart. The AL in Disneyland just feels more authentic with the theming, except for the fact that I do prefer the Swiss Family Tree over the cheesier Tarzan's Treehouse. Indiana Jones Adventure is...

    Best Moderate

I personally have not stayed at the Carribean Beach, but my favorite Moderate is the Port Orleans French Quarter. It's very charming and the theme is a bit cooler than the Riverside section of Port Orleans (formerly Dixie Landings). To me the Carribean looks a bit tacky from the outside, but...

Disneyland Hotel to have new immersive play area!!!

Totally agree on the waterfalls- especially on the lack of promotion for them. I've been to DL a handful of times now but never noticed those falls until my most recent visit, when we happened to be staying in the Wonder Tower. I will miss them, even though I just discovered them!

    Small World Refurb in August

DL did a great job with those. I was VERY skeptical about adding those characters because I thought for sure it would look cheesy. The characters are very subtle and in the same style as the pre existing dolls. You probably wouldn't even notice they're in there unless you knew to look for them...

Jungle Cruise merchandise and other missed opportunities

The pattern seems to point to the oldest attractions generally not having a gift shop after (most of Magic Kingdom). As the years went by they found more ways to take our money! Most of the gift shop rides are in the newest parks, DHS and AK. I for one don't mind the post ride gift shops...

    Portofino inn & suites?

I stayed at the Portofino recently- November 2008. I had absolutely no complaints. It's a small-ish hotel, but the rooms are clean, beds are fine, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. And of course it's a short walk up Harbor Boulevard to the Park entrances. I definitely give Portofino my...

First trip to DL - report (LONG)

Great trip report. However, I agree with other posters that you need to see Nemo, Pan, Space Mountain, Indy, and The Matterhorn in order to make a true comparison to MK. In my opinion there is no comparison though, since to me, Disneyland blows MK away. I say this even though I'm a Foridian who...

Electric Umbrella reopens early - new menu

$8 for a turkey sandwich is steep, but not a surprising price to pay at WDW

Sometimes the simple attractions are the best attractions.

    March 28 - MK - downtime land

Ive ridden Space Mountain with the lights on. It's amazing how slow it feels when it isn't dark.

When will the Indy stunt show give it's last run?

When I was a kid I used to see the Indy Stunt show at least once per year. I eventually got a bit tired of it, and went about 10 years without seeing it. I finally saw it again after the 10 year layoff, only to find out that it was EXACTLY THE SAME after a decade, and remains the same today...

    Mission: SPACE Question

Green just vibrates and moves back and forth a bit (I don't think it spins at all) and I can't imagine you will have any problem with it. Basically it gives you the same motion simulation, just without the gravitron style spinning. It's pretty close to the Orange version, just without the...

    Mission: SPACE Question

I think the problem I have on M:S is the fact that I'm too curious/ADD to keep my eyes on the screen the entire time. As soon as you look to the side you start to feel the spinning....

    Mission: SPACE Question

I consider myself to be very rugged person, someone who never gets sick on rides of any kind. However, riding Mission:Space has made me a bit uncomfortable in the past, so I currently choose the "less intense" Green version. It's basically the same sort of feeling you get from a county fair...

    what was that?

As a kid I remember there being several counter service restaurants in Future World, including the Oddyssey, but now the only one I notice is the Electric Umbrella. I guess they wisely decided that you don't need so many restaurants in Future World when every single Country in World Showcase has...

    Notes from 3/20 - 3/22

The question is: would he have turned that bribery down if it wasn't so obvious? That woman who slipped him the hundred needs to learn to be more covert. I could clearly see what she was doing, and I'm willing to bet that other people in the line could see it as well. Had he accepted the money...

Where is DLR's piece of land for 3rd park at?

Is that Gardenwalk mall lame or something? I stayed right down the street from it last November and it looked nice from the outside. I will reiterate what one previous poster said about making a DHS style park. Doing so would make no sense, since you already have many of DHS' key attractions...

Four points by Sheraton Studio City

I may not be of much help, but I'll get the ball rolling by saying that I stayed there 6 or 7 years ago with a few specific memories. 1) It's close to the parks, so your travel time will be minimal. 2) The rooms seemed fairly large and the beds were more than satisfactory. 3) They have a...
