News PHOTOS - Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin switch to Mears shuttles for theme park transportation

This is a huge value loss for S&D, and we should judge this through the lens of S&D being classified as a Marriott Cat 6. Certainly there are still a lot of great features, but this falls short of a high end experience. Hope this is temporary. And even though this is a conference hotel...

News PHOTOS - Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin switch to Mears shuttles for theme park transportation

This is disappointing. Also a Marriot person and actually a big fan of the Dolphin. Will miss not having this aspect of the "bubble" experience. Certainly will not appreciate losing decent bus stops.

For those reporting they got a payment unstuck, do you remember the department or the job role of the person who finally resolved it? Wondering if there is a way to request to speak with "X" -- if we can crowdsource the identify of X.

I called today about my 2 out of 3 refund situation. The CM indicated that all three of the passes had been removed and that - as we suspected - each pass get its own refund transaction She said that it was not unusual that all might not arrive at the same time (I mean it is but ok) and that...

Eek. Hope no one in my house overlooked it! We get lots of junk mailers using that same style. Would have been nice for Disney to put out a blog post with this level of detail.....

Did you have two refund transactions - one for each ticket? That is what it looks like on my 2/3 refund.

Looks like two of my three hit my Amex. Looks like roughly $3.36 per day remaining. My only thought on the third might be that I upgraded tickets from a package and that a large chunk of the package was on GC. Wonder if I am also getting a check?

I'm not sure why they would not have just said November if they wanted to put it in the new FY. I would have expected them to want to keep COVID write-downs concentrated together rather than let the spillover intentionally. (We all know this upcoming FY is going to be colored by COVID no matter...

Did you cancel using the email links sent out? Are you willing to share the refund amount (ideally as a per day calculation)? Did you make follow up calls? Just trying to get some data points into the thread for folks.

Well, we are solidly mid-to-late September. Anybody got anything to report?

Daily Beast - "Workers Reveal Disney Is Covering Up Its COVID Cases"

This seems worthy of a distinct thread as this is a rather serious accusation. https://www.thedailybeast.com/workers-reveal-disney-is-covering-up-its-covid-cases

Why did you not expect to get compensation for all remaining days on the pass? I interpret Disney's refund guidance as -- basically they auto-extended everyone for the days the park was closed and then will use the reopening date to the new expiration date as the number of days for...

    AP Refund Watch

This is admittedly a little early to post as Disney says vaguely "mid to late September" but there have been some anecdotal reports of refunds being issued. Based on other processes related to extensions, pauses, etc this is unlikely to be a totally smooth process or one that happens for all...

A sequel? Nah, not this one

Let's take your post for the sake of example. I am saying they made the choice to accept a "barely break even" scenario. (Sidebar - Chapek but the "positive contribution" marker down publicly, so break even plus $1 would technically do that. It would cover fixed cost carry plus show a return.)...
