FINALLY! Back to Disney on a solo trip from the UK

Hey all, it has been some time, and I've still been constantly thinking about going back to Orlando. Anyway, I decided the only way I could go is to go solo from the UK. I'll be staying at Disney and I'll be there from 12 Nov 2024 for 2 weeks. I was just wondering if anyone had any tips or...

Potential Solo Visit to WDW - Oct 2022

Hi all, Due to the pandemic and moving/buying a house, I have not been to DW since Oct 2016! This is outrageous! I was hoping a friend was able to come with me this year, but he might have to pull out. I am wondering whether solo visits are a good idea, and where I can meet like minded...

    Expedition Everest effects status watch

I was really shocked that the video came up on my YouTube feed. No doubt Disney will act on it. I can't believe how he got to the Yeti! But considering he did it in the dark, whilst trespassing, you gotta wonder why Disney doesn't just fix it.

DHS Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

...yes! It's a good link to the ride.

DHS Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opening day reports - Disney's Hollywood Studios

Unfortunately, despite loving the OT, and despite growing up with it at a young age, Disney cannot realistically keep with the OT for the land. I am sure Ep IX will provide answers as to why there is so much importance with Batuu. There are lots of references to the PT and OT throughout the...

Which attraction were you terrified of as a kid.

Oh and I remember my uncle telling me I wouldn't like Space Mountain as it was dark and fast. It is dark, and it is a bit 'surprising' but I find it is perfect fun and satisfies my love for sci fi and interest in space travel. I love the 80s theming of Space Mountain.

Which attraction were you terrified of as a kid.

Snow White as a child....never expected it to be that damn dark and creepy. First time I went on Dinosaur (if it was called that then) back when I was maybe mid 20s....my Dad was not expecting it to be so fast, kind rough and kinda dark! Even I thought it was really fun but more intense than...

    Expedition Everest effects status watch

Effects on the dark section going backwards would be awesome. Still one of the best thrill rides I've experienced.

DHS Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Re: era of the land. As a fan of the OT, yes I will miss some of the older characters, but then, it is 2019, things have moved on. Rey/Ren have a big place in the hearts of the new generation of fans. Remember how annoyed people were with the prequels? Now they tend to get praised. People love...

Jurassic Park Rollercoaster Coming To Universals Islands Of Adventure?

I kinda hope they do 'update' it...but I hope they add a little more to the ride than Hollywood. Still, I've heard that the Hollywood version is still being tweaked.

Could we get a Stranger Things attraction?

It is an EXTREMELY popular show. I remember when the show first hit Netflix. I saw a little box describing it and thought 'sounds right up my street'. INSTANT HIT FOR ME! Perfect blend of adventure, slight 'horror', and nostalgia. Brilliant soundtrack. I had missed the classic ET/Goonies style...

Jurassic Park: The Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood to be re-themed to Jurassic World.... What does this mean for Orlando?

Whilst I see what you mean, most riders won't pay that much attention to where the tank should end....

Jurassic Park: The Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood to be re-themed to Jurassic World.... What does this mean for Orlando?

I don't think you are underwater at all. Basically it's the same as walking through an aquarium and looking at a HUGE tank either side. But the tour is not on foot, it is on a boat ride.

Jurassic Park: The Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood to be re-themed to Jurassic World.... What does this mean for Orlando?

I have a feeling they slow down the indoor section at both parks depending on the cycle of the dino AAs and the boats upfront. There is one video of the new JW showing that the boats go through quickly....then another demonstrating a pause....even seeing the I-Rex go on two cycles. I do hope...

Jurassic Park: The Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood to be re-themed to Jurassic World.... What does this mean for Orlando?

I do think the aquarium screen is a really good addition. Very modern and slick. I actually think the whole thing looks fresh. I just hope the Indominus Rex moves a little more once it is totally finished.
