Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

As I said on another thread, the insane amount of money spent on Guardians could have bought a C/D family roller coaster for ALL 4 parks. Think Slinky Dog level. And the parks need that capacity desparately.

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

But on those 90-120 minute wait days you are still DOUBLING your rides, and can avoid the painful, hot waits like Splash. It's all relative. In the WDW of today, 3 more E TIcket rides during a day is a MASSIVE improvement. It's sad, but that's the cluster Disney has becom. And Disney...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

Virtual Queue rides are excluded, since they is no standby. I guess soon that will be the newest ride at all parks that have one. But your "you booked your 3 headliners" quote, essentially a direct Disney Marketing quote, says a bit. I don't know of any park that let you get 3 headliners with...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

DAS allows you to ride ANY ride without dealing with the line. And it is on top of any other queue system, at least it was last I used it. So you can wait in 3 lines at once. Plus DAS spots NEVER run out. It requires no prebooking of the big rides, if you can even get one. And if lines are...

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

As soon as you mention DAS, which makes a WDW visit MASSIVELY better, your opinion of FP+ holds little water.

Does that include those folks with a huge pillar in the way?

Not the purposeful screams only in the tunnels, as loud as possible.

Or when people scream before Jack shows up in Haunted Mansion Holiday elevAtor. Screaming over him talking. Or people talking on the Hogwarts Express. Or the damn girls that scream in the tunnels on BTMRR. I sometimes turn around and scream back at them.

I think preshows have taken over at Disney because they need to give a long experience to try and make guests think they are getting more enjoyment.

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

In all honesty, for the price of all fhe preshows and queue "story" a very nice outdoor coaster, like Cheerah Hunt could have been put in probably all 4 parks. Providing desperately needed ride capacity.

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

Oh sure, I know nothing of industrial sensors, you’re right. And I’ve never ridden Gringotts when rotation was off. And I have no idea about how quickly a roller coaster runs, and how much track it covers in a second, or how quickly motors can react to turn a one ton coaster car. I mean...

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

I’m flattered you spent so much time on this. Actually, it’s sorta sad. I still don’t believe the cars rotate at control points in a gravity section, they rotate to a timed program. Gringotts rotates on flat track with controls connecting to the cars. And it still messes up. And all the...

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

So, you think the cars are so specifically programmed on a gravity ride with multiple unknown variables changing, that they can be fine tuned as to exactly when they turn and where they are pointed in a specific direction? I gotta believe the variation in car position from ride to ride is way...

EPCOT Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

Ummm, I never said they didn’t rotate. It’s a Vekoma rotating coaster. No, it has screens with ZERO surrounding sets. The lift has some rudimentary set dressing, and the there a sphere you go around.

Housekeeping door knocking at 8am on check-out days - what's going on?

Yes, getting woken up is no major inconvenience. By then, they should notice plenty of folks leaving, having a good list from bell services, and from folks that do actually check out. Again, 0% of people with the manual deadbolt with only a latch inside, have checked out.

Housekeeping door knocking at 8am on check-out days - what's going on?

No, at 8 am they should assume you are sleeping. Especially if the manual deadbolt is in place.

But I was totally right that the were saying this would have AAs, show scenes, and all sorts of stuff that was just not happening. I also was the one saying the motion sickness was bubbling up. I was told I was wrong. And here we are with changes being made before the ride opens to the public.

Don't they know it has the manual lock in place from the outside? Not the catcher, but the quarter turn deadbolt
