I am glad for Potter, because it did give IoA (and Spidey) the attention and attendance that it deserved. But Universal's marketing techniques in the early days of IoA were... Poor.

I actually preferred the old IOA to the current IOA. The park flowed better (obviously). The theming in Merlinwood was some of the best I've ever seen. I loved The Enchanted Oak Tavern, the music, the Dueling Dragons. Sigh. I still love Potter to death, but I do really miss that part of The Lost...

As a Florida Resident, most of the people I know frequent Universal more and Disney less. Some haven't been to Disney since they were a baby. I dunno. I just feel like Universal Orlando is more of a "locals" parks(s)/resort. I know that they want to change that, but I do like that about it a lot.

I don't see how anything that Universal is doing couldn't be considered a success. If you're a true theme park fan, and not one-sided Disney-holic, Universal Orlando is truly the best place to be right now, and will be for a long time.

In a park with practically four rides, that could be pretty ugly. But I'd say it's a risk worth taking?

Hit the major attractions only, and use Single Rider. I did this one day in November 2012, and was finished at around 9:00 PM. You'll probably have to skip things such as the Universal Horror Make-Up Show and Terminator 2:3D.

I always that Marvel Super Hero Island is bashed too much by the theme park community. I think it is themed very well, especially Doom's Alley. Great picture!

Same. Ninja at Six Flags over Georgia is absolutely terrible. And Boomerangs are not much better. RnRC is great though.

I would give Red Oven a try, as the pizza actually looks really good, and it has nice outdoor seating.
