    Question about Universal Express

well over memorial day weekend, i guess they were having that problem so they got really strict. apparently it's a little bit hard to enforce, or that's how they were making it seem - on some rides where it was a problem we had our passes checked like 3 times or by 3 different people. so i...

    "Your Day at Universal"

OK, I'm 26, and my brother is 23. My parents divorced when I was 20. Needless to say, we still have many fond Orlando and Anaheim memories and videos. So we were reminiscing last night, my mom, brother, and his girlfriend, watching Disney videos. At the hotel pool, parks, etc. And we came across...

Keeping children out of school to go to WDW

that's not the mentality in a high school. maybe in a small school, but in large schools if your kids play varsity sports, it's a totally different story. they dont play those games. you'd think kids are getting paid the way some coaches run things like a bootcamp.

Keeping children out of school to go to WDW

no that's not true. that concept would give parents free reign to send their kids to school whenever they want. and as we see on this thread, school is not a priority for many of them. that's why u have these rules. i work with truancy court and we see all too many parents who think it's...

Keeping children out of school to go to WDW

aww, not the last day of school! that's the best one! i would take my kids out in elementary school, but only if they had already missed a day because i think it would be cool if they had perfect attendance. :) it's not that big a deal to miss in elementary school but high school is a...

    Waiting Lines

I could see it. The reason why is because I just thought of all the lines I wait in: Banks Clerk's Office at the Court House Casino Line where they're checking id's Line to get into the club on a weekend night Movie theatre's on a weekend Of course amusement parks checkout lines at stores...

The most annoying thing at WDW?

I don't think that ANYONE comes here without speaking ONE WORD of English. On the contrary, I think Americans go to OTHER countries and often expect THEM to speak English. I think people might come here thinking they can get by with "Hello"; "How are you?"; "Where's the bathroom"; and a lot of...

MNSSHP or Universal's Halloween Horror Nights??

Well, we'regoing 2 more times this year (we have a free trip with free air anmd hotel, and also a separate trip with free air). I think we will to Universal's HHN and Disney's MVMCP. I definitely HAVE to see Disney at Christmas.

MNSSHP or Universal's Halloween Horror Nights??

Which is better and why? I was reading a thread about MNSSHP and if it was for adults. Someone else told me Universal's HHN would be better for us because we are young adults (26&29) who like scary, thrills, etc. and that MNSSHP was not scary at all. Has anyone been to both and have a...

Universal Orlando is getting rid of Universal Express

it's really good to have on busy days, i.e. labor day, memorial day, etc. we used it memorial day and it worked great. i think ours were $30 for that day we went. it's not that much money, and was VERY useful for the more popular rides, which had waits from 60-90 minutes. we wouldn't have been...

    Should I get the AP?

if you're going to be there more than 2 days, I say get it. there are good disounts, and it doesn't cost that much more. and like another poster said, u dont have the pressure to rush through the attractions and spend all day in the parks, which can be draining. u will want to relax and stroll...

    What is the best restaurant?

I've been to the Bubba Gump's in chicago. pretty tasty. we went into confisco grille on our last trip. we just weren't that impressed with the menu, so we left without ordering. (not in a rude way, we kindly informed our waitress that we were leaving). also, the other restaurant's, like...

Visiting Sept - March? Don't bother!

i think with back to the future they should do what Disney did to Alien Encounter (which was not a good idea for disney but would work in this case for universal...) and what they did with hanna barbera - they should use the space and concept but change it to an updated movie. i like BttF the...

Visiting Sept - March? Don't bother!

i was thinking that too. How does closing 2 OLD rides reduce universal to a 1/2 day park?? USF still has The mummy, shrek, terminator, men in black, earthquake, twister :dazzle: , jimmy neutron, etc. not to mention shows, food, etc. then there's IoA right across the way...I'm going...

    Question about Universal Express

it's actually a good idea to just buy the passes for front of the line, especially if you're going on a busier day. We went Memorial Day and bought them. It was good to hop to the front of Spiderman when the wait was posted at 60 minutes. ditto for mummy, hulk, etc. it especially came in handy...
