Having a party member save a table while others get the food?

I will admit...I have done this before. Not because we haven't ordered our food, but because I've gone with others who have food allergies like I do, and we find a table to sit at while we wait for our food to be made (this can take anywhere from 5-25 minutes) and then we send one person up with...

Has anyone had any stellar experiences with cast members lately?

I have two that stick out. One was a CM who was getting off his shift, and was walking to the cast area in between The Plaza and Tomorrowland Terrace. I forgot how we started talking, but he made us laugh so hard by doing impressions of Disney characters! He was really good at them! It really...

    which one?

I LOVE the Grand. It's always been my favorite and we finally stayed there this year. It was wonderful to have the easy Magic Kingdom access, and the overall look and feel of the hotel is so elegant. I would pick GF or Poly, depending on what your style is more like. Have fun!!

Tusker house or Yak and Yeti lunch?

I really enjoyed Yak and Yeti, as did my husband. Tusker House is on my list of restuarants to try, since I've only ever heard good things about it.

    Disney with an infant help?

Thank you both very much! I'm very excited about taking my LO to the World for the first time, and as I have no younger siblings (or older ones) I've never had to take a LO to the parks! I'll definitely practice before we go so it's not uncomfortable, and bring the stroller (with a rain gaurd!)...

    MSEP question

It still comes down Main Street and into frontierland, the opposite of FoF :) (unless of course they changed it since I was there in February. Haha)

    HS firework question

The fireworks are over by the Great Movie Ride and Fantasmic seating faces the opposite direction. You have to leave the Hollywood Hills Theater to watch them, but I've watched them from Sunset Blvd, and you can see them quite well from there, although you can't see the theater. You also have...

Advice on how to handle tour groups

During my bachlerette party, we got in line for SDMT with 4 of them being in front of us. By the time we got onto the ride, we had over 60 of them in front (I counted). Make sure to NEVER get in line behind any of them. They hold the line up by just standing there and if there is a queue, they...

Mattress quality in Disney resort rooms

We recently stayed at the GF and I have to say, if I could've gotten that mattress out of the room and into my car with no one noticing it, I would have. We have a super comfy mattress at home, but theirs was WAY better. Even my husband, who is a mattress snob, wanted to take it home.

Who's Excited for their Next Disney trip? Details and why.

My next two trips are scheduled for mid October and early November. October is a bachelorette party, so there's that. But in November I'm taking my mom to Disney for the first time since the late 90s. After our second Disney trip she decided she didn't want to go anymore and would stay home...

    Disney with an infant help?

Hi all! I wanted some advice on how others have handled this situation before. I will be going to Disney for a bachelorette party when my LO is 2 months old (I'm the matron of honor, and it's only three nights/one park day. We will also be staying in a vacation rental offsite, so I will have my...

    Bachelorette Party

Hello everyone! I'm the matron of honor for one of my best friends weddings :) I know for a fact that she wants her bachelorette party at Disney and we live in Florida, so getting there isn't the hard part. Because I will have a newborn, and there are 5 other girls, im looking into vacation...

How scary is DINOSAUR for a 5-year-old?

I would say it's pretty scary. My grandmother forced me on it when o was 8 (forced because I knew what it was from the Animal Kingdom singalong with Flik) and I still can't go on it without closing my eyes and having small panic attacks :p I'm terrified of it!

    MK Wishes FP Area Issue

I completely agree with you, it would be really nice if people stood at the back, but there are always those people who decide to stand in the front and make everyone stand up because they can only see some of it. One night we had a guy who had 2 cameras and a huge tripod standing right in front...

    MK Wishes FP Area Issue

I've used it three times (all for special occasions where I didn't want to fight for a space) and each time when we would go in, they would tell us that we could sit, but would be asked to stand when the show started because of space. I don't think it was ever intended as a sit down space for...

Biggest deal and biggest rip off

I did that same program! I believe we did ours the first night, it was like a fun "get to know each other" thing. We also had dinner above America, in their small hall. I don't think I'd pay for it when it wasn't just my group though.

people who don't want to go with you

My mom has always hated going to Disney. To the point that she would let my dad and I go alone, so she could stay home (we lived a few hours away and went twice a year). I always asked her why she didn't want to go, and she always just says "it's too fake". Last year I mentioned going to Food...

Help! Art of Animation vs Port Orleans French Quarter

I've stayed at both, and since you have little ones, it would probably be more fun to stay at AoA. The Big Blue Pool has underwater music and the entire resort is really well themed. Port Orleans is really nice as well, so whichever you pick, I'm sure you'll have fun.

    On-line check in question

You have the option to recieve a text or to go to the online check in desk. I believe you can just leave the text box unchecked. I've done it both ways, and it's a very easy process. Once you arrive, they have one desk that will say "Online Check-In" and you simply get in that line. Have a...
