DHS Any Bets on What Comes After Galaxy's Edge?

Indiana Jones. That's what it should be. Animation Courtyard needs attention and the park would benefit from replacing a couple of the musical shows. But a full-fledged Indy land is the next logical step for the park after Galaxy's Edge.

DHS Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway confirmed

Because Disney don't like adding new attractions if they can get away with it, they'd much rather replace existing ones. Even when it's a mistake to do so. I can only speak for myself but I'm usually at WDW in September/October/November time and I rarely saw GMR at less than a 30 minute wait...

DHS Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway confirmed

It didn't fail. It's a bona-fide classic that could have done with a refresh over the years. Some might not have liked it as much as others did, but the Great Movie Ride was in no way a failure of any kind.

EPCOT Is the End of Innoventions Near?

I think you're talking absolute nonsense; if nothing else, you're at least consistent in that. You don't seem able to comprehend that not everyone shares your opinion so you've taken to being incredibly patronising to those you disagree with, or in the case of @marni1971, discredit him...

EPCOT Is the End of Innoventions Near?

Read through posts on the previous page and you'll see that I didn't use that term myself. I was quoting another poster who did use it to, true to form, mischaracterise and distort the fair and reasonable opinions that others had expressed about this project.

EPCOT Is the End of Innoventions Near?

Thanks, I suspected as much. So hardly an "investment" that proves that the lastest news/developments (or "doom predictions") about this project are in any way innacurate.

EPCOT Is the End of Innoventions Near?

In claiming that Disney is "investing in a preview center", would that mean in this case that they are just using the Odyssey building to display some concept art, maybe a model or two?

EPCOT Is the End of Innoventions Near?

As do you, clearly. You obviously have some strange grudge to bear with @marni1971, given your concerted (and misguided) attempts to discredit him and the information he provides here, as well as convince to others to share your scepticism and question that information.

EPCOT Is the End of Innoventions Near?

I agree, as I said Disney clearly are not beholden to maintaining any kind of thematic cohesion when it comes to this area of Epcot now so it doesn't really matter either way.

EPCOT Is the End of Innoventions Near?

You nailed it. It doesn't matter as Disney clearly could not care less what does and does not belong in Epcot. A random Moana-themed water feature/playground pretty much sums up the current direction of the park.

EPCOT Is the End of Innoventions Near?

I like the gardens and the new water features - very disappointed that the Fountain of Nations is not long for this world. I love the Art of Disney stores so I'm very disappointed that we're losing Epcot's. The rest I'm kind of ambivalent too - the only thing I'm still really dead against is...

    DHS Indiana Jones Land?

It should. And better late than never - more Indy in DHS is an obvious move that Disney should have made years ago.

News Is Carousel of Progress getting a major refurb?

I don't think it's a case of the family having or needing any sort of control in a decision like that, more the company respecting their wishes. Regardless, I don't think we'll see a Walt Disney AA at Carousel of Progress, or any other attraction.

    Incident at Epcot today(March 6th)

But that is the way it goes. I remember watching two men get into a fight first thing in the morning at the MK hub because each of them thought it was their family's turn to take a picture in front of the Partners statue, which is pretty much the height of pettiness. Nothing really surprises...

News Is Carousel of Progress getting a major refurb?

A guide on one of the MK tours I took a few years ago told us that the company are prohibited from doing this. I have no idea whether it's true or not, I never thought to see if there are any other sources that could corroborate what she said. But someone on the tour made this suggestion, I...

FOX Acquisition Could mean Deadpool, Rio,Night at the Museum, Independence Day, Alien, Ice Age, Titanic, Planet of the apes in parks

Or they could stick with the dinosaur/prehistoric theme, which is a pretty timeless one, but just do it better than they have so far. Or they could go with South America. Or Australia. They could even dust off a dead concept, but a great one, and give us Beastly Kingdom (they won't...

FOX Acquisition Could mean Deadpool, Rio,Night at the Museum, Independence Day, Alien, Ice Age, Titanic, Planet of the apes in parks

Why would WDAS or Pixar waste their time and money rebooting Ice Age? Is either studio that creatively bankrupt? Ice Age had a good run and brought in money while being inadequate in quality to pretty much everything that those two studios have produced. Each is capable of producing much...

FOX Acquisition Could mean Deadpool, Rio,Night at the Museum, Independence Day, Alien, Ice Age, Titanic, Planet of the apes in parks

It's awful. Those films make Chicken Little look like Fantasia or Pinocchio. Even in it's supposed "dark ages", WDAS' output is infinitely better than Ice Age.

FOX Acquisition Could mean Deadpool, Rio,Night at the Museum, Independence Day, Alien, Ice Age, Titanic, Planet of the apes in parks

In which case the park really would be ruined. Indiana Jones is not a particularly good fit for DAK but it would be far better than Planet of the Apes. Up would be an infinitely better fit than Rio and already has a presence to build on at the park. The Good Dinosaur is hardly among Pixar's...

FOX Acquisition Could mean Deadpool, Rio,Night at the Museum, Independence Day, Alien, Ice Age, Titanic, Planet of the apes in parks

It really isn't. How do you implement a property like Deadpool in a Disney park? They tried Alien in the late-80's/early-90's, it morphed into Alien Encounter and didn't last long. Ice Age is garbage, Titanic is a non-starter, Planet of the Apes doesn't fit thematically at all. What else...
